Practical Nursing (LPN) - 12 months
If you want to start being a nurse, but do not have time to complete a two to four year degree, you can prepare to become a Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN). Upon passing the NCLEX-PN Exam, the PN candidate is eligible for licensure, provided the candidate has satisfied all Minnesota Board of Nursing requirements. Within the course work, this exam is offered so you can start work right away.
There are no waiting lists and no prerequisite courses to enter the program. Students can finish the program and be licensed as LPNs in less than 12 months.
The Professional Nursing Mobility Bridge Entrance Option is available if you are interested in becoming a Registered Nurse (RN) in the future. This can allow for even more job opportunities and higher salaries.
