Undergraduate
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)
The curriculum is based on applied principles of biological, physical, psychological, and social sciences.
Upon graduation, the student will be able to sit for the NCLEX-RN exam then apply for licensure to practice as a registered nurse.
BSN (Accelerated)
The Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program is offered to students who have previously received a Bachelor's degree in another field and now want to pursue nursing. Students can complete the program of study in four semesters (after general education credits and prerequisites are evaluated and/or completed).
BSN (FastTrack)
The Fast Track Bachelor of Science in Nursing program is an intense program for those who want to commit to completing the program in four semesters (after general education credits and prerequisites are evaluated and/or completed).
RN to BSN
The RN to BSN program builds upon the critical thinking, leadership, management, research, and physical assessment skills already possessed by the nurse who has an Associate of Science in Nursing degree and is licensed as a Registered Nurse. The curriculum also focuses on cultural, political, economic, and social issues that affect patients and influence healthcare delivery through online, classroom and clinical components.
All of the focus in the RN-BSN program incorporates competencies as outlined in the American Association of Colleges of Nursing's (AACN) Essentials of Baccalaureate Education for Professional Nursing Practice and the American Nurses Association's (ANA) Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice.
Prerequisites for RN-BSN Program (not all-inclusive)
Graduation from either an associate degree nursing program or a diploma nursing program.
Nursing Diploma, International, Associate Degree in Applied Science in Nursing, and applicants who attended a non-accredited academic institution must satisfy selected prerequisites (or equivalent with a 'C' or higher) before beginning upper-division major courses.
BSN (Traditional)
The Traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing program is offered for students beginning their first professional nursing program. This program is eight semesters in length.
Prerequisites for Major Courses (not all-inclusive)
- High school GPA of 3.2 or higher AND
- Either SAT 1150 (taken 5/2016 and later) or 1590 (taken earlier than 5/2016), ACT 23, or Wonderlic 25
- Acceptable background check and drug screening
- Required health and immunizations screening
- Personal interview with the nursing program
- 3.0 average GPA for general education courses
- 'B' grade or better in the selected prerequisite courses
Graduate
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
The Keiser University Master of Science in Nursing degree is for advanced practice nurses focusing and grounded in the holistic caring for self, others, and the profession.
Program Overview
The American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) Essentials of Master's Education in Nursing reflect the profession's continuing call for imagination, transformative thinking, and evolutionary change in graduate education. The program at Keiser University follows this format.

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
Graduates are required to take the Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification Examination in order to be licensed and to work as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Admission Requirements (not all-inclusive)
- MSN from regionally or nationally accredited university
- Minimum nursing graduate level GPA of 3.2 or higher
- Active unrestricted RN and/or advanced practice nursing license
- An admission decision is based on: combination of academic performance, previous clinical experience, letters of recommendation, clear criminal background check, clear drug screen, and interview with MSN FNP faculty
Master of Science in Women's Health and Midwifery (MS)
Keiser University's Master's in Women's Health program explores the complexities of providing primary care to women throughout the birthing process and focuses on cultivating nurses who are sensitive to the physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of the women in their care.
The overall objective of the program is to provide the student with the knowledge and skills to be women's health and nurse-midwifery leaders who are empowered to generate, explore, and apply nursing and midwifery knowledge for evolving health care environments. The program goals are:

- Four-year baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited institution
- Minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

An admission decision is made at the program level and based on a combination of a student's:
- Undergraduate academic performance
- Previous clinical experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)

- Two (2) from nursing/healthcare supervisors
- One (1) from a nursing faculty

- Interview with MS WHM faculty (please note an interview is not granted to all applicants; all applicants are required to have a clear criminal background check and drug screen)
Nurse Anesthesia, MSNA
The Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia (MSNA) program is designed for RNs who have earned a bachelor's degree and is a 72-credit hour, 28-month program. Graduates of this program who become CRNAs are eligible to continue their education in the Post-Master's Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice completion degree program.
Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
The DNP curriculum focuses on incorporating nursing science with knowledge from ethics, biophysical, psychosocial, analytical, and organizational sciences as the basis for the highest level of evidence-based nursing practice.

- Minimum nursing graduate level GPA of 3.2 or higher
- Active unrestricted RN and/or advanced practice nursing license
- Admission decisions are based on: combination of Master's-level academic performance, GRE score, letters of recommendation, personal declaration statement, interview with DNP faculty
Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice (DNAP)
This online program builds upon prior knowledge obtained in the master's program in Nurse Anesthesia and focuses on clinical practice areas such as expanding knowledge in clinical practice and clinical leadership.
Graduates of the Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia program from Keiser University, or other COA accredited Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia programs, may apply to advance their education in this Post-Master's Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice program. This program is 36-credit hours, requiring an additional two years of coursework beyond the master's curriculum, and is approximately 24 months.
Accreditation
Keiser University's Associate Degree Nursing program, Ft. Lauderdale, Jacksonville, Lakeland, Melbourne, Miami, Orlando, Sarasota, Tallahassee, Tampa, and West Palm Beach campuses are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). The Port St. Lucie Associate Degree Nursing Program holds candidacy status, effective May 2016-May 2018. Clearwater nursing education program is a candidate for accreditation, effective November 2016-2018.
The Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
The Master of Science in Nursing Degree is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
The Keiser University Nurse Anesthesia Programs (master and doctoral levels) are accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA). The program's next review by the COA is scheduled for May 2023.
The Doctor of Nursing Practice program is pursuing initial accreditation by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
Keiser University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.
