I'm looking at different schools to attend for the LPN program. After speeking with the one school I will be taking an ATI exam next week for the admissions rep doesn't know what the NCLEX pass rate is for her school. She told me to ask someone in the nursing department after I take the test. Doesn't this seem odd? It is a for-profit technical school, so I'm a little weary. They are approved by the state board of nursing tho. I'm confussed!

My admissions rep never knew much about our program either. She just set up the schedule when we first were accepted to the program. The person who honestly knew everything about the Nursing Program was our Program Director who herself has a Masters in Nursing and had all of the facts, figures, and rules of the program. In my experience of admission reps they really don't know much as far as details of programs, and will usually send you to a program director.
Good Luck!

Check your BONs website. Ours lists program's pass rate. I've never been to worried about that because imo NCLEX is a solo sport but fthe "for profit" schools would make me a little more cautious. Good luck!

In my personal experience, the admissions rep knows very little about the specific details regarding graduation rates, NCLEX pass percentages, and program outlines. Her job is to basically assist in facilitating your entry into the program. Your school's DON (director of nursing education) or dean would have all of the detailed information about pass rates.
I am another person who doesn't worry about NCLEX passing rates too heavily. NCLEX is too individualized to blame your passage or failure on a "good" or "bad" school. Good luck!
