Hi everyone!!!
I'm starting Nursing School at Schoolcraft this coming Fall 2011 and wanted to see if anyone else on here was starting this Fall with me! I'm so excited to finally start the program after 2 years on the waiting list. Are you guys excited or what?!?!?
Hope to hear from you guys soon
Hows it coming guys... are you all chippin away at that check list, LOL! Only thing I have left is the meeting w/nursing office, online orientation, and CPR. CPR is scheduled for tomorrow... Im still so excited!!! Oh and side note HepB vaccine ouch:uhoh21:... arm is still hurting and I have to go back for part II Monday.
TruleeblezdRN,
Did you sign up to take it W. Chicago & Merriman tomorrow at 6pm? I'm all signed up to take it there as well :)
Did you guys get the updated letter? We need to have everything done before april22nd. I have everything done, finally.! II was wondering when they will be letting us know what time slot we will be getting for nursing fundamentals?
I'm not sure when they'll be letting us know about our time slot, but I hope they let us know some time in June to give us ample time to rearrange our schedules.
I have just about everything done on the check list. I'm taking my CPR class tomorrow night, then I take my 2nd tb test Friday morning and hopefully get my titer results then as well.
It's all coming along very well!
:/. I'm really excited about starting the program but I do have to say this whole thing feels a bit rushed. I received my packet April 1, I feel that they kind of put us under the gun with the short time it's due. I couldn't see my doctor until today. Did my chest x-ray. I have to wait a week to get the results in the mail, I had to have tithers drawn. I just realized that in addition to the tithers we have to have the actual lab print out, so now I'm struggling to get back in touch with my doctor to get an actual print out. I'm happy my CPR was already done.
On a side note has anyone been able to get in touch with anyone in the nursing office? I have called four days (both numbers) in late morning and the afternoon and still haven't been able to get a live person.

JPride2011, I totally understand how you feel and I completely agree! For my doc it's taking forever to do stuff. I called today and they sill have no bloodwork results even though it's more than a week now since I had my appointment :/ I'm very frustrated. And I'm afraid that I will not be able to have everything done on time
As far as nursing office goes, I called them 2 times and both times spoke with Becky. The extension number 5150 I believe worked the best for me (the 2nd one in the letter). Both times I called between 12pm and 3pm.
Good luck!
Imagine.Peace & truleeblezdRN, good luck with your CPR tonight!
Well CPR is done... and I met some wonderful ladies in class as well!!! That just made me all the more excited, although I dont know who is who from this site... LOL! So for those who were in CPR last night & want to know, I am Tiffany
I was sitting next to you in our CPR class TruleeblezdRN! :) It was so nice to meet you and a few other people in our CPR class who will be starting the program with us this Fall!
I hope everyone is doing well on getting their packets together! I am done with everything except for getting my hep. b shot at the health department within the next few days. One step closer to nursing school! :)
Talk to you all soon!

Wow, that's great! You managed to do everything very fast, which I'm really surprised about. I had my appointment to have my physical exam last Tuesday and I'm STILL waiting for the proof of positive Mumps, Measles and Rubella titer results + proof of positive Varicella titer results
I hope they come in tomorrow, because there is not that much time left and I still need to get my Hepatitis B vaccination + I'm pretty sure I'll need vaccination against chicken pox
Otherwise I'm all set (if I can call it that way since the major part is still not completed
)
