Good day:
See https://allnurses.com/pre-nursing-student/recommendations-pre-nursing-834553.html for the great answers I received to a similar question.
Thank you.
A planner is an absolute must! I'm actually buying a brand new one this week because I don't want my old planner from the previous semester(s) to carry over into nursing school. With my planner, I color code my classes: so for example, I would write all of my tests and such quizzes in pencil for all of my classes, but highlight then in a specific color that corresponds to a specific class. But, in terms of reading and lecture, I'll write in a colored pen that also corresponds to the specific class as well.
Definitely get a planner, I prefer the Uncalendar myself. If your school permits you to record lectures a recorder may be useful to you. Make sure you have a decent stethoscope (i like the littmans). Make sure you get a good backpack for your books. Not an over the shoulder one, as you can do some serious damage, even consider a rolling one.
Little sticky flags for your lab and drug books.
I took notes on my PPs with a pen that had 3 ink colors, that helped differentiate topics. Note cards... TONS of notecards. I probably went through 1000 for block 1.
This is the one I got. It is well worth the money! I love it!

I know the basic school supplies I will need (binders, notebook, pencils, etc) but is there anything anyone used "outside of the box" that helped? I'm not the most organized person so I am trying to figure out how to do this all and be successful!!
Thanks!! :) :)
