school suggestions Saint Louis

Published

Hi! I am very serious about my education and am considering schools in the Saint Louis area. Ultimately I would love to go to UMSL but the wait list is long. I have been considering Chamberlain College. There are no wait lists but I am trying to find accreditation and am having a hard time. If anyone has attended this school please let me know how your experience was. Do they offer financial aid and loans? Do you feel their program is legit? Pros and Cons. Thanks for your help :)

Moved to the Missouri Nursing forum for more of a response.

I have a friend that went there. Graduated and works in the nicu. She liked chamberlain. Yes their program is accredited. And yes and yes about finacial aid and loans. The program is expensive. She had almost a hundred grand in loans.

There are so many schools in Missouri for nursing and Chamerlain is probably the most expensive. I do have a friend in their program now and she really likes it. It is a good school but pricey. UMSL is good too, I have a friend there too :) I am going to Maryville so I am a little partial to that school, you may want to check it out. It's a very good school!!

Go to Umsl. I was wait listed and then got a letter 2 weeks later saying I was in. The program was awesome, I don't regret a minute of it.

I would recommend Goldfarb School of Nursing 100%. They are have an excellent program either in the upper division (~22 months) or the accellerated version (extremely fast paced-needing a previous Bachelor degree to enter). The program is very hands-on and the clinical experiences are at Barnes-Jewish and Children's (as well as other sites), as they are affiliated with these hospitals.
