Hello all, and thanks in advance for the advice you share every day. How do you politely NOT answer a Nosy Parker kiddo who persists in asking why another student is in the nurse's office?

This is exactly what i say

I just laugh and say "none of your beeswax". They actually think that's funny.

But the kids will usually pipe up and tell the other kid all the details...

The nosy kids actually don't bother me. Especially the younger ones. They're naturally curious and don't quite grasp the whole "privacy" thing. Plus, the other kiddos don't seem to be too concerned when a classmate butts into their business. Obviously I don't tell them anything, but I also don't get perturbed when they ask. Now nosy teachers???? OOoooooo, nosy teachers make me want throat punch someone. At no point should an adult, even a well-meaning teacher, assume they deserve to know why a kid is in the nurse's office. And then to see the reluctance of the kiddo who doesn't really want to say what's wrong but feels obligated because they're talking to a teacher....makes my blood boil. When I hear it, I usually try to step in and with a "nothing we can't handle!" and a smile that says "move along".
