School activities

I'm sorry for all of the questions. This is my first year in charge...

We had a competition located in our school district today. A student fell, hit her head. Nothing serious. Secretary calls, asks for a nurse to evaluate. We find out this student isn't a student in our district. She's here for the competition from another school. I'm assuming we don't have authority to treat these kids? Obviously we would step in if there was an emergent situation.

I would have taken student to clinic, evaluate and report to the school nurse at the student's school.

And ensure ABSOLUTELY/POSITIVELY that a parent/guardian was notified.
