Scheduled my test .. ahhhh!

Published

I just received my ATT. I graduated April 30th and they submitted my transcripts on May 13th. I set my test date in Florida for June 22nd at 8 a.m. After I hit that submit button I started freaking out a little. I am so nervous. I have access to Kaplan and I bought Uworld. Can anyone give me some advice how I should plan out my studying and attack this test over the next two weeks. I want to pass this test the first time! HELP PLEASE :arghh:

No advice for you as I am in the same boat!! Received my ATT today and almost cried when I scheduled my test. I'm going to be a hot mess come test day. I've been using UWORLD, lacharity PDA, and hurst. Hope it's enough. Good luck on your exam.

First things first... is two weeks enough time for you? It sounds like you're freaking out and have no idea where to even start so you MAY want to look into extending your test date.

Like you, I used both Kaplan AND Uworld. Kaplan was provided to me through my school and Uworld I bought with my own money. I studied for about a month and a half and let me tell you... there is NO way you can study both Kaplan and Uworld from top to bottom in two weeks.

I felt confident about my content knowledge so I focused more on doing questions (Uworld). I finished the entire Qbank (1840ish q's) and read the rationale for every question - right or wrong.

I did Kaplans q-trainers 1-7, once a week, in a quiet environment as if I was actually taking the NCLEX so I can prepare myself to sit through a buttload of questions because on the NCLEX you don't know if you're getting 75 questions or all 265.

So my advice is are you confident with your knowledge on content? If you are, start studying with Uworld; if you are NOT, then use Kaplan because they have individualized test plans by body systems as well (cardiovascular, GI, OB, etc).

Just want to add that Uworld IS AMAZING! Almost all 75 questions I got on the NCLEX were covered on Uworld ;) passed in 75.

I have actually been studying Kaplan since January. I dove into Kaplan very heavy after graduation In May, and bought Uworld about 3 weeks ago. So I won't just have 2 weeks of studying under my belt, but did want advice on how to attack this next week and a half now. But thank you for the advice it was very helpful.

I hope your test goes amazing and you pass. I know it is such a stressful and nerve-racking time. Stay focused!!!
