sccc 2012 nursing program hopefuls

Hello . I am starting this thread for anyone who has applied for the fall 2012 start suffolkc.c.c. nursing program. I have applied for the Ammerman day program. I was hoping to find some company on my journey to acceptance day(hopefully:)).

@mschultz, thanks for the help getting into ati. Has anyone gotten into view the class material on d2l? I have been trying to get in everyday and it won't let me uugghhh!!!!

Have you been able to access the course on d2l? I freaking out right about now!!! I will crack open the book now omg!!!

Jrosa - do you see the course at all? If you can see it check the availability dates. Maybe your professor hasn't opened the class yet.

I can definately see it just can't view it. I have 101 on m/w. you?

I was having same problem I have the class MW just select the 27th on the calander and then go to course tab and it should pop up ... It was tricky finding it bc it before the actual course date

I have m/w too but I'm in the evening program. They also have tech support if you still need help. They are usually pretty helpful.

If you open D2L there is a calendar to the bottom right select the date 27 and then you will see the class posted in the left margin select that and good to go.... :) gl

oh my on w tech support and there is no way of accessing the course before the 27th. I followed the instruction and no courses opened uugghhh. hanging up

im a little behind with things. Are the reading materials mandatory?

Also, when do we need to buy the uniforms?

I don't think the reading is mandatory but they do want you to read before classes start because there's so much material that they need to teach you that they want you to get a head start. But like any class the reading should be done before your next lecture/lab.

As far as the uniforms go, you don't need to wear them for the first two clinical classes as these are taught at the school. Clinical day #3 will be at the hospital or nursing home and they require it at that time.
