Hey Pascale - what registration date did you get - I am getting so angry knowing I have to wait until 11/17 - it is so unfair - All the nursing students should register at the same time and give us all a chance... I called the registrar and they were like thats what it is... I emailed Proff Green and she suggested going to the registrars office - she said she wasn't sure why I was delayed either - I am really so upset about this

I am amazed and so disappointed in the registration process - Those of us ( myself included) that didn't take our pre-req's at Suffolk - considering there are only 60 students in the evening program - so far 42 have registered - and all the late Thursday night 10:30 classes are left for us... I called the nursing dept and they said once I hit 24 credits I can register when the other do - so that's around the 3rd or 4th semester - so I cannot register with my friends or the preferred times until then - and I feel this is just horrible - we are talking about a few students less then 20 that have to wait - UNFAIR

Was anyone else utterly annoyed today as I was?

And If I get stuck with Eastern Long Island in Riverhead ( which I cannot get to in time ) I have to plead to the class for someone to switch with me - really - or what I have to drop the program - since I am in "Night school and cannot get from my job to the clinical in time" so disappointed

Yup, I am ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED. It's the most insane thing I have ever heard registering based on credits and it's really bothering me. I am so disgusted I didn't even want to go to class tonight. I think the stress from last week, dosage calc., Sub Cut & IM Injection and then I had to admister meds in Clinical......and to top that off I find out I have to wait until 11/17 register......the whole thing really threw me over the edge. I am trying to stay calm and think that it will all work out in the end but the lack of respect for the students who are taking this program PART-TIME because we do have other things going on is ridiculous. And then their advice is to stand up in lecture and ask your classmates to switch, I call BULLSH*T!!!!

Sorry guys but I had to vent....I know you guys worked as hard as I did to get in and I think we should all be given a chance to get into a clinical site at the same time.

oh one more thing....did anybody have any idea that a so called Evening Program would start at 4pm?!!?!? Seriously, if i had known that I would have applied to another program, I had no clue. 4pm to me is afternoon, ahhahaha

This is not Mike - but I saw a Mike on here the other day - I just checked and there are 51 students registered for #123 and 44 for 136 (Clinincal) so really only about 4-12 students couldnt register - thats really fair - NOT- oh and GREENPORT - seriously - even the people that live in Shirley didnt want to go there - why so far - makes no sense we go at night cause we work... I just don't get it

That is so insane .... so insane. Do you think the 12 of us could get together and go to the DEan? I am so upset about this that I am about to call Farmingdale to transfer.

Maybe with all of us we will get a better response???? What do you guys think?

Its Laura and yes I am the one that was walking around aimlessley trying to find help lol - spoke to you last night - I am not sure who the othrs are... But there is only 4 seats for St Catherines left, 1 Mather and 7 Eastern

Laura - I forgot to tell you, I spoke with a really nice woman in registrar last week. She told me that the registration thing should not happen to us next semester. She said, once you have at least one class at Suffolk the system recognizes all your credits at Suffolk no matter where you took them. I took down her name in case this happens again hahaha =) Hopefully things will be a lot smoother next semester. Hope you got in to the clinical you wanted. Shannon
