Ohhh, You got into Sierra College!

I'm jealous, I would definitely pick sierra because of the bridge program to BSN with Sac State and they are #3 in the state. Nearly 100% NCLEX pass rate each year.

Yes, I did! I'm forever grateful that I got into a program this cycle. I was looking at Sierra's stats as well and was impressed. I accepted their spot offer, but just wanted to get some insights as to why some people would choose one over the other. Thank you!

I hope you get into a program this cycle!! Good luck!!

I don't know anyone that personally went through the nursing programs but "Sierra College Nursing Program is Ranked 3rd in State".  SCC is ranked #39 an ARC is ranked #40.  Also, as far as NCLEX pass rates, for 2019/2020 school year 100% of Sierra students passed.  For ARC 91% passed and for SCC 93.54% passed.  If accepted to all 3, this would sway my decision as well as proximity to home.

Thanks for the info!

I am an alternate at Yuba, if I were accepted somewhere close to home (sacramento) I would choose that.  I also would look up the program rankings. Did you get into Sierra?

Yeah, LOL, I never really considered the possibility of being accepted to more than one.  Are you saying that they won't update the status until they select the applicants to attend? Im on eggshells waiting LOL

I did get into Sierra. Yeah, I'm choosing the program based on rankings. Sierra isn't terribly far from me (35-40 mins away), so it's totally doable. Thanks!

I’m pretty sure ARC/SCC have the bridge program too!

Ohhh that would be soooo awesome! I was trying to figure out if they had that same program, but I couldn't find anything on their slides or website that confirms it.

I know I saw it somewhere!! Maybe the nursing handbook? Or it might have been a info session I attended!

You will have better luck looking on Sac State's website.

They have a "Nursing Collaborative" with ARC SCC and Sierra. I know it is limited for ARC but they do offer a bridge with the University of Phoenix as well.

Yes, that is excellent. At Sierra college inf the session, they said it's only one extra semester to get your BSN. yay!

Did they add that there are additional classes you must take while you're in nursing school too? But yes, ideally you would graduate with your BSN a few months after you pass your NCLEX.

Sierra College's bridge program with SacState is a lottery which you can apply for after your first semester in the program. There are 33 total UD units that you need to complete the BSN, and they are spread out from after your first year to after program completion. image.thumb.png.b553e1a3560931187b6538c7a3ec12b2.png

Do ARC and SCC have that same option?
