SCARED OF KROLL!!

Published

I was offered a job with a home health agency that pays very well for FL, with great benefits. The problem is I am jumping through hoops! They loved me and offered me the job right away, but I told them I had a misdomeanor reckless driving that was an isolated incident, when I was out with some docs of all things, and they said it should be fine, but it has been over a week and I have 3 kids to feed and shelter. Has anyone been turned down for something like this? I am in FL. Thanks

I dealt with questions about a background check and discussed it with the employer who insured me that each situation would be dealt with on a case by case basis and that derogatory information could but did not necessarily have to have negative consequences. If the employer told you not to worry, then I would not worry. I would get back with them to find out what is going on with your application.

thanks, i just hate that it is taking so long!!!

I don't know what it is about HH where there is so little accountability and follow through with so many people along the chain, but I called 5 times and it took about 3 weeks to finally get a response when I was accepted for my HH job as well. I had no issues on my record, just a "busy supervisor" who did not take the time to call me sooner. Hopefully in your case the same applies.

Some hh agencies employ young college grads to meet potential employees. Some of these people, usually young men, have not developed good work habits themselves and it shows in how they deal with the public.

I have called them and they say they want me to start as badly as i do but still waiting on check. I have never dealt with this kroll system but it seems to be very thorough, has me worried. Will keep updated.

Kroll is just a company that does standard employee checks. They do not have the bad reputation that the infamous Group One in Texas has. Group One blacklisting I would worry about.
