Hello all,

I'm surprised this thread hasn’t been posted yet! This thread is meant to connect with students who have applied to SBVC. The application period ended about a week ago now. Who is waiting on a reply??

?? at 4:36! Best of luck!

Oh wow I see, thank you!!

I was wondering that too! I saw on the information packet that 40 ADN are accepted & 10 LVN applicants are selected

I got the invite also! 4:36 ?must have been a mass email then. Crap, off to study now!

To everyone that got invited to the HESI don’t forget you have to respond to the email by the 31st at 12pm to RSVP for the HESI!! ?

Good luck to everyone taking the HESI on Wednesday! Dang we gotta be there early! lol

For the LVN to RN bridge program, are we really only testing to get in the first or second semester? I thought we were able to test into the third. Does anybody know about that? I went to the seminar a year and a half ago and I thought it was the 3rd semester

How is everyone studying for the A&P section? That’s the one section I’m afraid of

I suggest YouTube, and going over the major concepts. Define terms you don’t remember or understand. Test yourself rather just reading and reading. I, myself am terrified of Math ?

The math is mainly conversions, ratios, percentages, basic algebra so as long as you are comfortable doing that then you should be fine.

Hi I also got invited to take the hesi exam. Congratulations to everyone that got invited! Does anyone know if we are provided a calculator for the math portion of the test and are we also tested on microbiology?

There is an on-screen calculator that you use. You just can’t bring your own physical calculator.

On the SON website there is a link to the Nursing program packet and it goes into each section of the HESI A2. Microbiology is one of the sections we’ll be tested on. The only sections they are excluding are Chemistry and Physics (Thank God!)

I purchased the free trial of the Monkmetrix study guide. They also have practice tests which are helpful. Check your HESI invite email there’s a link to it. Hope this helps and good luck

I did the math practice test today on Mometrix. It’s very basic math.

What is everyone doing to study for the Critical thinking portion of the HESI? I cant find any practice exams and the website link they sent us doesn’t have anything about it, just all the other sections.
