Hello all,
I'm surprised this thread hasn’t been posted yet! This thread is meant to connect with students who have applied to SBVC. The application period ended about a week ago now. Who is waiting on a reply??

I spoke with robin today and she said she would be sending out emails confirming our acceptance confirmation, but if we don’t receive one, then email tomorrow.

I've spent some time looking at the Spring class schedules. The information packet on the SOB website lays out each semester. So for example in Semester 2 you take Maternity Nursing and Med Surg II. I looked at the class schedules and it looks like you take either one first and then the other section (example: January-March Maternity Nursing, March-May Med Surg II). The schedule looks like a bulk of it is on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and not all of the days are full days. The clinicals which look like they fall on Wednesdays or Thursdays are heavy days (12 hours). And then there are some days that you're only in school for 4 hours. --- that being said there may be extra Lab hours that we need to do here and there that are not listed. But from what I've seen as far schedules go, SBVC seems to be very well laid out which I am pleased to see. I've seen some other schools that are kinda all over the place.
The bridge program transition class is on a Saturday for I believe 8 weeks then I’m not sure what days after that.. I just wish that we go through summer tho but from last programs you’re off winter and summer time.. I feel like we could’ve taken classes during those times so we can be done faster lol
I thought the first class we take was fundamentals of nursing, Tuesday we got lecture from 7 am to 10:50 am then on Tuesday and Wednesday 8 am to 4:50 we got lab (skills) then during week 4 we start on hospital clinical which you would be assigned either Wednesday or Thursday which is usually in SB or arrowhead and the times would be as follows 6:30 am to 6:50 pm this is usually how it is of course it can change and I do know if like we don't master something like lets say vital when we first start professor would require you to come to extra lab time. and then some of us go to clinical Wednesday but some Thursday this semester first semester students went to sb hospital, this is how it was for my sister she just started this past semester and the times I put up are for our coming soon year jan 2020. I have a different question though I'm a tutor I work a lot of hours but this coming semester when I start nursing school of course I will cut on hours but I do plan to still work at least few hours a week, do any of you plan to work while in school?
