SBVC Spring 2023 (Fall Applicants)

Published

Hey everyone! I know it's a little early but I thought it would be nice to create a little chat/forum for all San Bernardino Valley students who are wanting to apply this Sept/Oct 2022 for the Spring 2023 Nursing Cohort! Feel free to use this forum to your advantage! Good luck to everyone applying this year. ?

I'll check back in August but in the meantime I will be studying for the TEAS!

Thank you for the info Jaena. I was going to apply but now not sure if I'd even have a chance. SBVC counts classes into GPA that VVC (other school I'm applying to) doesn't. Cuz it looks like I'll only have 36 points before the TEAS. :\. Many of the classes that are counted are ones I took for my associates before I wanted to go into nursing. Some of my grades aren't the best. I have 4.0 in science though.

I think you should still apply! It never hurts to try. ❤️

Thank you I will. I actually recounted and I have 43 points. I have already taken the TEAS,I'd like to retake it. However I'm trying to find out if I can since I last took it less than a year ago.

Yeah, I think as long as it's less than a year old you are able to submit your current TEAS score rather than taking a new one. Unless you are wanting to better your score of course ? And your points are solid! The range of invitation is usually 38+ points!

I emailed them about taking new TEAS 7 since it’s a new version. They said that they take will accept your first passing scores. I already took version 6, even if I wanted to retake new version 7 for better score they are accepting my first passing score.

just fyi

I haven't taken it yet but I've heard that it's a difficult exam.. 73% is a great score nonetheless, plus you know what to expect now, so you're at an advantage.

Are you going to take the newest version then?

Has anyone applied yet? I’m going to be applying for the lvn to RN bridge.

I actually don't think I have to take it, If I'm not mistaken for LVN to RN bridge program you don't need to take the TEAS. That's what I understood from the application workshop.

I summitted mine last week, I'm applying to the bridge program as well! How many points did you apply with if you don't mind me asking ?

I applied with 38 points. I’m nervous because I feel that it’s low, but I’m taking my chances. I only applied to the bridge. How about you?

I already took my TEAS but does anyone know when the TEAS will be scheduled for those moving to the next step?
