Savannah Tech LPN??

U.S.A. Georgia

Published

I'm currently waiting to see if I got in to the LPN program at Savannah Tech. I completed all my pre-reqs in 2 quarters and the result was a 3.48 GPA...honestly do you think I have a shot at being accepted?

Hi There,

I'm in exactly the same boat as you are and I am just hatin' the waitin'!!!

I'm a little nervous because even though I managed a 4.0 gpa, I talked to someone who graduated a couple of years ago and she also had a 4.0 but still had to fight with them for a place in the program. The let her in the day before the term started. Their system is certainly a little screwey.

If you want, let me know when you get your response from the school and I'll do the same for you. At least we will be sure to know when the letters come out.

Good luck!! Let me know if you hear anything. :typing

I will...but have you gone to the orientation? I have to go to the one in August.

I think I have just figured out that you're at the Liberty Campus? It startled me when you mentioned orientation because letters for orientation haven't gone out yet at Savannah campus.

Anyway....best of luck to you

yep, I'm at Liberty! I didn't know letters went out for that....they never tell me anything...grrr. Well thank you and good luck to you too.

Hey there,

sorry I couldn't respond to your private message but apparently you need 15 posts to reply to one. I'll answer you here since it pertains to this original thread.

Yep, I got my letter in late August and I'm in the program. Just finished the first quarters and looks like I've made it through the first two weeks of clinicals without hurting anyone or myself.

Remember though, I'm at Savannah campus so I don't know what the timetable is for Liberty County.

Good luck!

oh I understand but did you get two letters? one confirming you were still interested in the program and the second actually being the acceptance letter? I'm supposed to go to another orientation Monday...what did you do at your orientation?

Congrats by the way:)

Nope, I just got the acceptance letter with instructions to call and confirm that I'd be at the orientation. It came about a week or two prior to the orientation.

Maybe they sent you a letter asking if you're still interested because it's been so long since you applied. It sounds like maybe you got passed up for the first term but are now up for the second??? Maybe you should call the Allied Health office and get some answers.

In either case, I hope you make it. It's a lot of work and a completely different level of committment and stress then you've had so far. It does have it's fun moments though.

Take care,

Hi, I'm getting ready to graduate from the LPN program @ Liberty so if you have any questions, let me know!:)

If you don't get my private msg.-

Hi,

I was wondering how did they notify you when you were accepted to the program? I've recieved 2 letters now neither specifically stating if I got in or not but to just be at the orientation... I don't want to get my hopes up too soon. Also what did you do at the orientation?

Thank you!

Your lucky because we only got one letter, with no time, the week after Christmas. Then our orientation was on a Wed, and school started on Mon! Are you military? If so, if your serious about the program, I would make an appt right now for a physical. At orientation you'll just get a bunch of paper work and talk about the program. Idk if she's letting us come in and talk to you guys or not. We have a review all day, so we'll be there. If we aren't at the orientation, just look for us, we're all in blue uniforms =] just be ready for a long year, lots of self-teaching, and hard work.

Hi I plan on attending Sav tech, but I want to know what to expect, I have a 2.7 and still have to take med term in Jan. I heard that you need a 3.0 so I need to get a A in the class. When do you do the data sheets that I have heard about. Do they accept students twice a year like other schools, Ex: Jan and Aug let me know.:nurse:
