Hi I strongly recommend the Saunders because it helps so much with content and the pyramid points are amazing. Content is the foundation of the NCLEX .
Kaplan teaches mostly test taking strategies and not much content because you are expected to know it. they also provides thousands of application level questions.
saunders questions are very simple compared to nclex but again thats because it reinforces the content u read.
you can read the saunders and practice with the kaplan questions. the kaplan question trainers are available online for free.
good luck to u
Thank you for both of your inputs! I do already have the Saunders book and have enjoyed the review so far. I took a practice assessment and received a 69%. It was only 75 questions but it helped me realize what I need to review considering I haven't had Med-Surg II For almost an entire semester. THANK YOU AGAIN!
Our school uses Saunders and ATI (big waste of money for them).
As people stated Saunders will teach content but the questions are not hard at all. Almost everyone in our class does Kaplan and they have all passed. I bought it but put it on hold until school ends in May. I only hear very, very good things about Kaplan. Although our program is lacking so I am glad this last trimester in the NCLEX review class they are using Saunders. I'll have the best of both.
Also I know more than one person who got a Kaplan question on NCLEX. Like they got a word for word, identical question that they had on Kaplan. That's a trip.

I have purchased a Saunders NCLEX Review book but have read quite a bit on Kaplan. There is an expensive review course for Kaplan at one of the local universities that I could also choose to enroll in. My school also has ATI included in our curriculum. What are you experiences with any of these in relation to NCLEX prep?? Should I be focusing on one more than the other?? HELP! I graduate in a few months and I'm already freaking out about NCLEX!
