should i buy the kaplan NCLEX RN strategy book or saunders nclex rn strategy book? or both? lol i dont know, i really want to pass this exam the second time around, and am willing to buy anything it takes.
and for the people who used saunders and kaplan, how many questions did you do from saunders (for content review) and how many did you do from kaplan? did you do all content for saunders or did you do system by system? ..please help..

The first time I took my NCLEX, I used Saunders exclusively and when I took the actual NCLEX test I felt that the questions I had prepped with were not hard enough. I know that there are a lot of people who say that Saunders is enough but what you'll come across quite often in this forum is that the Kaplan questions are closer to the NCLEX style of questioning. I think the best combination is using Saunders for review and Kaplan for questions!
did you also buy the strategy book, because both authors offer strategy book as well, which is called "Strategies for NCLEX RN " by saunders and by kaplan as well..
and how many questions did you do on Saunders and how many did you do from kaplan?
When you purchase the online class, Kaplan sends you this huge review book that includes the strategies so I did not purchase the Kaplan strategy book. I wanted access to the diagnostic test, Q bank, question trainers and readiness test. From Saunders, I did several thousand questions (3,000+). On Kaplan so far, I am doing the q bank twice and will redo question trainers 6/7.

I just used Saunders Comprehensive Review and focused on areas I was weak in..and the Saunders Q & A book and did all of the questions along with the CD..I read the rationales which were very helpful..and I passed the first time with 75 q's!
