I would call tech support back and get this fixed. Too expensive not to work. They should help you out or refund your money. Have you tried using the CD on someone else's computer? Rule out problems with the computer before you call them back.

Your computer should meet the following minimum requirements:
MAC OS X (10.2 or later) operating system
256 MB RAM
At least an 800x600 pixels screen resolution
Thousands of colors
16X or faster CD-ROM drive
Instructions
1. Insert the CD-ROM.
2. Double-click on the CD-ROM icon located on the desktop.
3. Drag the folder named "SaundersRN4e" to your Hard drive.
4. Open the folder and double-click “SaundersNCLEX-RN4e”.
it's not the cd, it's compatibility. try to install on Windows to see if that cd is broken. plus if you can open the cd on letter D: (cdrom) the cd is not broken.
