Ado I can see how the big bills and extra work might depress your mood

NJ22 I'm looking at another Prius or the Corolla hybrid

Dianah I hope your dh's left eye starts to feel better

Stars good to hear that the dog will be here today

Yesterday wasn't too bad at work, although a bit busier than I had expected, no time to help others.  Bit of a rush at times but got done on time

Tried regular tea instead of decaf for the first time in months, was pleased that it didn't seem to worsen my anxiety as I had feared.  Will see how it goes the next week or so

After work decided to run an errand or two, including picking up the book for Nov's book club meeting.  It's long and hard to find in libraries, so I decided to buy it and get reading early

Today have bird watching, then the gay group has a volunteer event at a local food depository, so I won't be doing my usual lunch with dad

Svengoolie has Return of the Vampire,  which I think is OK

Weather continues to be nice, in the mid 70s

Good morning!

Joe, sounds like a good day planned.

J22, hope you're foot is better and it's just inflammation.

Stars, so happy you're getting your dog today.  I hope it goes well.

I banged the heck out of my shin on a patient's chair with visitors in the room and couldn't contain my agony.  But laughed it off.  I'm fine.

I'm craving ramen and asked best friend to go to dinner and he said no, so not sure what I'll do about that craving, if anything.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Waiting. Got an early text with a photo of the dog being held by someone in the front seat of a car, which read, "I can't wait to meet my mommy!" Don't know the timing of the arrival.

It is in the upper 60's, with light, misting rain. I've been sitting out on the front porch, but it is not the most comfortable bench, so I think I'll go back inside.

More to follow!

Latest word is they will arrive around 3 PM. At the Georgia Welcome Center when they stopped for a pee break, two different women thought the dog was so cute, they offered to adopt her on the spot. But Momo told them she was on her way to meet her new mommy. By the way, she will stay named Momo, (as in 'Moe-moe'), because everyone including hubby said it should stay Momo since she is used to that name. Okay, I don't care, that's fine with me. I just wish it was already 3 PM!

2 PM-

OMG, I got a text saying they are enjoying the 'scenic route'. I don't blame them for wanting to get off the highway, but I want my new-used dog ASAP!

NSIME, sitting on edge, waiting.......

Hope the dog comes sooner rather than later.  I've always kept the names my dogs had when I adopted them.  Waffles was probably recently named because she was found as a stray without any records, but I kept it because I liked it.   The only one I changed was Billy because they told me they named him Rocket because of his rocket like member sticking out sometimes when he sat.  I said "my dog it not going to be named for his member".  Too late I found out his original name was "Mocha" for a chocolate colored large spot he had on his otherwise white coat.

Do you have a way to post pictures?  I'm sure we'd all love to see.

Hi.
NSIME, I know the feeling! We are supposed to get our dogs today. I told the breeder after 1 would be good. She said 230 is better. I am giving my sister a ride to the airport, so at least I have that distraction.
My ankle feels much better, the swelling went down, and walking is fine. Weird, cuz it really hurt yesterday.

Hello all!

nursej22, so glad your ankle is feeling better!  Fingers crossed the dogs arrived safely!

No Stars, hope Momo arrived safely as well!

Joe, what is the new book?

Tweety, did you take care of those ramen cravings??  How is your shin?  Large bruise or is it one of those that shows only a slight bruise and is VERY painful?

We went to Sabbath School today, and jammed with friends for about an hour before the three-song song service began.  It was good to see everyone there!  We didn't stay for the lesson, as (per dh) we had to get home to feed the hogs (the cats).  We tuned in via Zoom as soon as we got home.  The cats, however, seem to be "off their feed," for whatever reason.  Are they mad because we didn't tend to them first thing, but instead got dressed and left the house for a bit?   Did they then eat too much kibble and so weren't hungry for the *ahem* quality canned cat food?  Has the equinox affected them in some way??   Dunno any answers.  But none look sick or malnourished, so they will likely recover enough by tomorrow to eat well.

Not much else going on here.  I am anxious to hear about the new canine arrivals, so will check in later!

Have a good evening!
