Tweety I've found as I've gotten older that I need to avoid spicy foods

Stars hope you can get the cataract surgery set up soon

Ado glad it was a quiet day

Yesterday was a quiet one at work, even more so than Thursday.  Which was good as I needed the break

After work my church friend T asked if I could meet him for dinner, which I did, at a local place.  We also came up with an alternate date to meet with our other church friend D next week.  Rest of the evening was quiet

Today have the usual birdwatching and lunch with dad.  Will do some baking as well

Going to be cooler today, in the low 50s with rain this evening

Good morning!

Joe, hope you have a nice relaxing day.

I've never felt the need to avoid spicy foods but wondering now if I should in this "post infection" IBS or whatever it is thing I have.

I enjoyed the chicken wings and they weren't too hot.  The sauce I had was "medium". I've relaxed a lot about food lately.  Time was I wouldn't have never considered eating and cooking chicken wings or steak.  It's complicated but I used to self-sabotage over food and junk food.  I think I switched from booze self-sabotage to other areas in my life my procrastination and food issues.  It's been a lifelong mission to find some peace of mind and deal with my anxiety and psych issues.

Anyway, after that philosophical moment I'm going to have just a normal day off.  Going to the gym.  Am going to make some tempeh for dinner.  Haven't decided how.

Have a good day.

Woke up to a 2 AM thunderstorm, exactly when the weatherman said it would happen, then went right back to sleep. Woke up again at 8 AM and made a cup of coffee and took my meds. Think I may let myself slide back into sleep. I COULD get up and start in on some of the things I can't get done while Nannie is up in the den, but gee whiz I just don't feel like being productive right now. My eyes are saying "sleep-sleep-sleep"😴

And so I slept ... Got up reluctantly at 12:30 PM! Now Nannie is up and dressed and finishing her 'breakfast' at 1:30 PM.  Just another fun filled day of laundry, as Nannie was soaked head to toe. Only some dishes in the sink, not the usual sink FULL of dirty dishes. Haven't checked the wastebaskets and trash yet.

Hope Nannie will be sleepy or at least quiet today. Tinker has made three trips back up to the bedroom to bring down some of her toys to place on the sofa.. She's already been walked the first time and only pee'd. I should go check the (formal) front living room to see if she's left any 'presents' in there. It is amazing that if she poops on that very light colored carpet, there are no stains left behind! But I sure do appreciate that it comes up easily, and leaves no hints behind that it was ever there!

Nothing exciting to pass along. Hallelujah......amen.

Hi hum day. I cycled to breakfast and it was a chilly 38 when I left the house. Ma fa wa fwo, that is, my face was too frozen to talk. But with a nice cup of hot coffee I was able to enjoy my crispy waffle. Then a brisk ride home.
I worked on repairing the window sill where the dogs chewed on it. And I need to repaint the half wall that divides the stairs from the hallway. I'll have to get the paint for that. I waited all Summer for someone else who was going to do it.
I may have jury duty next week. I'll call tomorrow to see if my number comes up.

One of the other flute players did some baking and brought huge cinnamon rolls to band rehearsal Thursday night. I looked forward to that cinnamon roll with coffee all night and enjoyed it at work Friday. It's the little things!

Today I trimmed and dug up my 2 hostas. Did my best to "gently separate" the roots as shown on the video I watched. They resisted separation 😉. We will see what we have next Spring. Im sure the woman I bought them from would be happy to sell me more. I told Hubs I was putting the trimmings in the compost bin so he wrapped a strap around it to keep it from blowing away. I'm feeling a bit as if I overexerted myself. Also finished the Stephen King book I was reading.
