Stars that is very frustrating and concerning behavior on his part.  I hope the doctor can get him into inpatient rehab soon.  It's good you're there to help him access care

Did get a text from J yesterday asking about potential dates to meet to celebrate my birthday.  Texted him back some dates and waiting to see what works for him.  Relieved that he followed through on this.  And that my impression of him was correct, after having some doubts

Bird watching was very cold yesterday.  Stopped at the Arboretum too, always have liked their gift shop.  Baked some muffins and did the laundry.  Had an online meeting with the political group

Today will do bird watching again if it's not too cold.  This afternoon will be driving Dad and his ladyfriend to my nephew's musical, that will be most of my day.  

Going to skip the Svengoolie movie Fiend Without a Face, which I remember as being pretty bad.  Will probably be getting back fairly late too

Will be cold, in the mid 20s and windy with some  snow

Good morning!

Joe, glad J texted back since that seemed important to you.  Hope you guys and settle on a date and he doesn't cancel and it's not awkward.

I've stayed friendly with my to ex-partners.  The first lives out of town and we had dinner once when he came to town on a business trip, but that was years ago.  The 2nd relationship ended badly because he was an alcoholic but we actually stayed friendly and even had a couple of Thanksgivings together but I haven't seen or talked to him in several years.   I'm not that invested in staying friendly with either one of them but don't dislike them.

I feel asleep early and woke up sometime with my book on my chest and the lights on.  I'm off today and off for a couple of weeks.  Next Saturday I'm leaving for Costa Rica.  My boss was nice and gave me Wednesday and Thursday off for Thanksgiving so my vacation starts today.  
Nothing much going on today.  Will go to yoga later.  It's "cold" in the 50's here and my heat is on.

Oh, Tweety, I'd forgotten about your trip!!  How exciting!  I'm sure you are SO looking forward to it (finally!!)!  What a nice two weeks it will be: Thanksgiving and extra time off one week, and Costa Rica the next! 

Joe, glad J texted back, hope you two can arrange some time together.  Brrrrrrrr, it's cold there!  Your plans, though, sound enjoyable: driving dad and friend to the musical!

Not much planned today, besides Zoom Sabbath School.

Hey-ho everyone~

Today is another laundry day, only there is more laundry than last time. (Bloody clothes and sheets from you-know-who falling.) And, of course the wet sheets from Nannie's bed. I don't mind today, as I am feeling very tired, and most of 'doing the laundry' consists of sitting on the sofa waiting for the cycles to do their thing.

Will have to change the bandages on hubby's face and arm and hand. Naturally, since the doc doesn't work on Monday, hubby has to have enough vodka to last until Tuesday. I said, "NO DT's and NO seizures!" At the liquor store when the lady at the counter asked what happened to his eye, he said "Look, I'll go over this only one time: There's my wife, and my firewood, and that's all there is to it." Then that sister-in-law popped her head up over the counter where she was stocking bottles on the shelf. Hubby said, "Oooh, butter wouldn't melt in her mouth: 'Honey, what happened to you?" He told her ( and I'm quite sure she didn't believe him) he had some cysts taken off his face. Uh-huh.

I'll have to call the doc's office and see about getting him in before 12/6. On Monday I will call our insurance guy and go over what I read in the Medicare book to make sure some of his rehab will be paid for...and then take hubby to the bank to let him apply for and sign for the loan to cover his costs. I have a feeling it'll cost WAY more than getting his teeth taken care of. Oh well. It is what it is, so whatcha gonna do.

Mid-way through the laundering. Going up to my room to get some cross-word puzzles to keep my brain busy.

Wasn't too bad today; hubby drank only enough to keep the shaking down to a dull roar, and thank goodness he wasn't walking in that way that scares me that he might fall. He said around his right eye is SO sore, and the right shoulder and arm are painful. OH WELL!

I got all the laundry done. 

Nannie is going downhill more and more, mentally. Her hearing is bad, and her comprehension is poor. I had her sitting on the toilet and told her I was going into her room to get her pj bottoms, and she said, "What?" and then dipping her hand into the trash beside the toilet, she picked up a used pad and said, "You mean this?" I said a very emphatic "NO! and take your hands out of the wastebasket!" It annoys me so much that every time I toss one of her used pads in the trash, she wants them to be rolled and set in the bottom so, I think I told you this: if you look down into the wastebasket, you see this arrangement:     @@@@@@....and I am NOT going to make the trash decorative!

OK, she's in bed, hubby is having a bedtime snack. Shortly I will go up to the kitchen and get my glass of ICE COLD milk and a banana for my bedtime snack. I'll read a while before I go to sleep.

Tomorrow is another day.

Cold and clear here, again. I did a quick run, then home to listen to our radio program. I did some yard clean up, and was going to put out some Christmas lights, but I got too cold. Gadfrey, I hate how my nose runs when I’m out in the cold. When I came in, I read my book and worked on a jigsaw puzzle. 
Good grief, NoStars, I hope he didn’t break anything. 
Costa Rica sounds so nice, especially now. 
I’m glad J got back to you. That would hurt to just be ghosted.
