Tweety that would be inconvenient

Stars I have heard of people keeping pot bellied pigs as pets

NJ22 hope you feel better today

Ado I'm not planning on much this weekend either

Yesterday was probably the busiest day I've ever had at work, started early, didn't  break for lunch, thankfully only left a little late.  Already had quite a bit to do, then got a new case, then the person I was covering got a new case.....I got another new case just before I left but I'm saving that one for Tuesday

J's stomach was bothering him again, so we didn't go out.  Which was probably good as I needed a quiet night after that day, just resting at home

Today should be fairly ordinary.  Going bird watching then getting a haircut, then lunch with dad.  Going to bring him some Wisconsin beer I got on my trip.

Svengoolie has the original House on Haunted Hill, which I've seen before and found dull, even with Vincent Price.

Will be in the mid 70s today,  thankfully no rain expected this whole 3 day weekend

Good morning.

Joe, hope things slow down at work   Enjoy the weekend.

I slept very well for a change but took a benzo on top of the trazadone.  Good combo but not my doc would support nightly. He wants me off of the benzo.

Work is going okay.  Last day with my new grad so I'm letting her do it all.  Monday she is on her own.

Good morning!

We are getting ready to drive to the high desert to join the bluegrass community's campout/jam.  We will only be going for the day.  Lookin' forward to visiting and jamming (and maybe some sushi out with friends).  Again, it should be 79 degrees there, with winds 20mph, gusts to 35-40mph.  Will see how amenable the gusts are to jamming!

Slept well last night.  Day by day, this illness is giving ground and I feel better.  Dh slept well too.  Fiddler K will soon arrive and we will load her into the car and leave for the one-hour drive.  Should be a good day.

Have a good day!

CHAPTER XXIIIII (?)

Well, so this morning I woke up at 9:30 AM to go pee. Hubby stood at the bottom of the stairs as I went back toward my bedroom. He said he really felt rough, hadn't slept well, was having a great deal of discomfort when he took a deep breath; said he was thinking of going to the hospital. I told him to let me know if he decided to call the ambulance and he said he would.

At 12:30 PM I woke up and got dressed, was taking a quick look at the headlines on-line, and decided to go downstairs....where I found Nannie's AM pills on the counter in the kitchen. I looked around the house, but no hubby was to be found. I had completely forgotten about him saying he might go to the hospital. So, I called him, and when he finally answered I said, "Where ARE you???" He said he was at the hospital. "You didn't wake me up to tell me you were going." he said he knew, and he apologized. He told me the x-rays showed nothing, but that they were going to do a CAT scan, but he wasn't sure when. I told him to call me back when he knew something or needed something.

Then I made Nannie some lunch and gave her the morning pills she usually takes with breakfast. She had been sleeping and didn't even know she had missed breakfast. So I told her about hubby going to the hospital, and she wasn't terribly upset, she was glad he was going to get things taken care of.

A while later he called again and said they were going to admit him and he was waiting for them to find him a bed. He said they gave him a shot of morphine, and a while after that they gave him a shot of Ativan. He said they were going to detox him! I knew he had been buying those little "airline bottles" of either tequila or vodka, which he kept in his pocket of his sweatpants; several times the little bottles had fallen out when he wasn't aware they had, which is how I came to know he'd been nipping, but didn't know how often. Didn't mention anything to Nannie about the detoxing, just said that it being a Holiday weekend, they weren't sure when they could draw the fluid off his lung. Not sure how long he will be kept for the detox, but we will know when we know, I guess.

So, Nannie and I are on our own, but no problem there. After her lunch, she made a trip to the bathroom, came back to her recliner, wrapped up in her shoulder-shawl and right back to sleep she went! There is a baseball game at 3:30 PM, so I'll turn on the TV around 4. That first 45 minutes is always the Pre-Game-yakky-blah-blah about the team, the players, previous games, et al. The first pitch will be about 4:15 or so.

Meanwhile I am sort of mentally twiddling my thumbs and hoping the detox tx will work well for him. I'll keep y'all updated as I find out what's what....

Thanks for being here, because I can't tell anyone else about this turn of events.

Stars, I hope this gets your dh back on a healthier track. And that your weekend with Nannie is uneventful.

We're going to watch some more episodes of Stranger Things. Twin B and I did a big grocery trip today. The cats and dogs needed food and we tried to get some things that people will eat for lunch.

No Stars, sad to hear your dh is in the hospital!  I hope the treatment is effective, for whatever ails him, and he is discharged soon.  We know it is no walk in the park to be the only caregiver in the house.  Vent anytime!
