NJ22 that must be both great and unreal, being finally retired

Ado I hope they get the road finished soon

Dianah  hope your group can perform next Sat

Stars I wonder if the pharmacy is short handed, like so many places

Tweety good for you for laying down the law

Work was fine until the end of the day, had to call IT for a phone problem and deal with an urgent issue.   Bit stressful, but decided some other stuff could be delayed, so I had time to deal with both

Did laundry and cleaning after work, then the usual hot bath and white Russian.  Decided I like bath salts better than bubblebath

Will be a busy day today,  helping to usher for a big funeral at church, and have to be at church an hour early to discuss how  we will manage an unusually large crowd.  Then the usual lunch with dad, and cooking thereafter.  Have to call the landlord too, have been hearing a rattling squeaking sound that probably related to our heating system

Svengoole has The Island of Lost Souls, but since it is daylight savings time tomorrow I'll probably skip most of it so I can get to bed early

Will be in the upper 30s today.  Thankfully the heating system at church was finally fixed

Good morning!

The dogs let me sleep in this morning until past 7:00...well the girl dog tried me but I wasn't ready to get up.

Congrats J22 on making it to retirement.  All the best in the coming days/years.

Brrrr! It is 57 degrees, sunny, with high clouds and breezy-breezes. Tomorrow we are supposed to have a LOT of rain, according to last night's TV forecast. But on line here it says 70% chance of rain, and in the mid to upper 40's tomorrow. We'll see.

Got up late, got Nannie up and fed her. Hubby is resting in bed after getting up very early (7 AM).

Not sure what I am going to do today~

I was out in the garden pulling weeds from under my blueberry bushes and spreading fertilizer. I only got 1/2 done and my hands got too cold to continue. We had a nice day yesterday. We saw at least 10 bald eagles while driving around. At each place a creek or river emptied into the sound there were 1 or 2 eagles perched in trees. We had lunch (I had artichoke quiche and a green salad) in a little town that sits on a channel between Fidalgo Island and the mainland. It has lots of little gifts shops and cafes. Across the channel is a native reservation and where they dock their boats. I am going to try to post some pictures I took. On the way home we stopped at a wildlife sanctuary to look at birds. We saw cormorants, a heron, a grebe, and lots of mallards and buffleheads. And then we went out for a sandwich for dinner. I had a beer (porter) with dinner and slept well.

Annie, that must be frustrating about your road. I love the idea of rating the patients. I've met some lovely people while working at the health department, but there have been a few that pushed my buttons, shall we say. there were several when I worked at the hospital.

I generally give my pharmacy 2 days notice. One of my meds is quite expensive, so they order it each month. Otherwise, they could probably do the others in an hour. They never seem very busy, but I go to a local, independent one. With my insurance, there is no difference in cost. That may change with medicare.

Dianah, it looks like much of the bad weather went north of you? I hope it's not impacting you too much.

Joe, I meant to say the other day that I don't grow my own vanilla beans. That would be far beyond my skill level. I buy them. They're not cheap but I think my homemade vanilla extract is cheaper than store-bought and probably better.

Today I met with my book club at a coffee shop I found. I had avocado toast and bacon (they serve brunch all day). Delish.
