Good morning!
Joe, hope you have a good weekend. I understand about anxiety. Looking back for me it's been a lifelong issues, along with depression. Good that you can acknowledge it and then cope.
J22, sorry to hear about your son having covid and hope your sister improves. Too bad about your own a-fib.
I'm off for a few days and going out for a walk to blow off some stress from the previous work days. It's been above average hot this week but it's settling down to more normal low 90's for this time of year. It's always pretty humid.
Covid cases are steady at about 10,000 a day hear with percent of positivity over 18% in my county. These kinds of numbers use to mortify us but now it's just another day.
Have a great day!
Not as hot or humid today....mid 80's.
Lousy ballgame this afternoon, we lost.
Feeling duddy and dull; disinclined to do anything. I hope to perk up in a day or two.
Will have to do laundry tomorrow. Nannie DID change all her clothes and piled them on the washer; the last thing I'd said to her last night as I was going up to bed, "Put on different clothes in the morning. You've been wearing the same clothes ALL week."
Guess that's it for now. Whoop-dee-doooooo~ (blah!)
Feeling down today too. Partly due to the overcast , cool , shower-y weather, sis’s health, and dwelling on what will happen with mine. I tried my new computer but it’s password protected and I can’t sign on. I went back to the store but they were closed. I did drop some stuff at Goodwill. I made myself pull some weeds. Normally the yard would look much better, but it’s just overwhelming this year. Going to Seattle for the baseball game and dreading that long car ride and the inevitable argument between dd and her brother.
Had to leave the bedroom because stepson called and was telling Hubs all the things he thinks Hubs did wrong raising him. And all his failures in general. Hubs is patient and kind. I want to blow up. Happy Fathers' Day! This in the setting of drama with the extended family back in Indiana.
Volunteered to be on call tonight if they get an admit. Census is at 3 (one Covid) with 1 RN and 1 CNA. This is the first Covid patient we've had in several weeks. I'd like to go to church tomorrow so hoping they don't call me in. On the other hand, I could use the extra money. Volunteers are not being allowed indoors at the wildlife rehab right now due to a couple of staff members having Covid. I could do some outside work but I'm a little afraid to. Last Summer I had a bad episode with what I guess was heat exhaustion while cleaning outdoor enclosures. I was confused and nearly lost at the same time I knew I had to get cooled down and hydrated. Tachycardic. That was about 6 months post -Covid. Plus I'm overweight and out of shape.
Temp has been in low 90s but humid.

Stars we had weather like that Tues
Ado we've done state parks too, they're pretty cheap
Tweety hope work improves
NJ22 that's good that you're going, hopefully you can get the straight story
Work wasn't too crazy, although had to say an extra 10 minutes or so due to some new stuff arriving late. Glad that a coworker who was off this week will be back on Mon
J is feeling better but still tired from having to work in the heat keeping the new sod watered, so we decided not to meet last night. We'll be meeting Sunday to take my dad to brunch
Funny, noticed my anxiety was creeping up, and that I have not been that serious with my mindful meditation the last few years. So I committed myself to focusing more on mindfulness and did a better job with my meditation...and after the meditation was over the anxiety popped right back up, with no apparent cause. It's like feelings have a survival instinct. I guess we just get used to feeling a certain way and resist changes even for the good. Will be a longer term project for me, it seems
Today was originally thinking about taking the bike to the Prairie Path but instead will go to the Arboretum. Will do some baking later, will try the gingersnap recipe again. Svengoolie has Forbidden Planet, which is pretty good. Odd to see Leslie Nielsen in a serious role
Considerably cooler today, in the mid 70s
