Crazy morning at work, but afternoon thankfully was quiet.  Was a good end to a week and a good beginning of a three day weekend

Was a quiet night, just exercised

Today have bird watching and will do some baking.  Sister and some of the family will be in town, will meet them and dad for dinner.  Hoping they'll decide on a place closer to this area, plans are in flux

Mostly done with Braiding  Sweetgrass, have bought a copy for myself as I liked it.  Next one will be My Grandfather's Blessings by Nicole Naomi Remen

Will be in the 80s today, a bit of a relief

Good morning!

I used to love hanging out the library and browsing books, and in bookstores like Barnes and Nobles.  I hung out in the library of my Junior College so much when I was unemployed I met the librarian though a friend outside of the library he asked how my research was going.  I hung out a lot in Barnes and Nobels after my first break up long before the internet.  Now I use the internet to decide what to read and buy it from Amazon.  I don't read as much as I used to before the internet and hope to enjoy more reading in retirement.  I always read before bed but often it's just a page or two.

Off today and going to the phone store to ask them to set up my phone as it didn't come with a SIM card and I'm not sure what to do.

This is crazy-stupid, I know, but I can't figure out how to change browsers; I have both gmail and Yahoo, but I also have 'ad remover', so I guess that's what preventing me from responding to or sending private messages. But I don't want to remove 'ad remover' because I hate all the pop-up ads that cover the screen. 

Maybe I can get someone here (where I live) to show me how to get on another browser. I have a real low tolerance for trying to figure out computer stuff; reading instructions frustrate the ______ out of me and I give up at that point. 

I can receive the private messages, but not answer them. 

Right now I have to eat supper, and the Braves game is on, so I'm setting the laptop aside and will try to get help for my problem, part of which is my inability to understand computer lingo.

Quiet day today.  I didn't sleep well last night, just couldn't fall asleep (that I knew of).  So I napped a little today.  We attended Zoom Sabbath School, and watched two episodes of The Chosen during lunch.  Dh and I just finished with the one-hour Jamkazam session.  Might be time to pick up my book and read while eating crudites  (raw veggies) and cheese and crackers.  ?

Braves won again. YIPPEEEE!

This is weird, but Nannie decided after the game, around 7:40 PM that she was going to go to bed. At 7:40 PM!! She couldn't understand why we were surprised. She said, "I'm an old lady, I need to rest!" Didn't mention she had been sleeping in her recliner ALL DAY except when she was eating or watching the ballgame. I guess that can be very exhausting. "Oh, my legs are stiff." Really? No kidding? Huh.

Our directly-across-the-street neighbor put down lime and fertilizer, and heavily seeded his lawn. Now he has a nice front lawn of stunted, dried up, tan 'grass'. If, instead of the dry weather we've had, it had rained a lot, he would be mowing his lawn every 3rd day. Kind of awful either way, if you ask me!

People have already begun with the fireworks; not any of them near us, thank goodness, but it isn't the 4th YET! Wonder what the weather will be? This is the first 4th of July I have not had to medicate a pet! ??

People here have begun with the fireworks already here as well.  So annoying but the dogs don't seem to mind.

I have an iMac and use Safari for my browser and did some sort of upgrade a few months ago.  I tried Google Chrome and got rid of it because I didn't need two browsers.  

I got my phone working.  I felt a little dumb because I didn't know I was supposed to use the SIM card from my old phone into my new phone.  I thought since I was upgrading the device there would be a new SIM card.   I like the new phone well enough.  It's quite similar to the Galaxy I had, a tad bit bigger.  I was having some problems with frequently losing service on the old phone that I hope doesn't happen now.  I'm also on 5G instead of 4G.
