Tweety hope the washer and fridge issues are easily fixed

Dianah will be a quiet weekend for me too

NJ22 I'm the same way, don't like to annoy people with frequent calls

Stars I notice I tend to get cold hands too, as well as cold feet.  Wonder if it's a side effect of blood pressure medication

Hi Ado

Well yesterday was finally a better day,  busier than I expected but not as bad as the  last few days have been

And after work was quiet, had my usual bubble bath and white Russian.  Disappointed that the bubble bath solution, which is supposed to be rose, has almost no smell.  Wonder if I could add rosewater...

Today shouldn't be too busy too.  Since bird watching is on hiatus, after I stop at the coffee shop  I'll bake some cookies and do some laundry.  Then lunch with dad as usual

Svengoolie has The Creature from the Black Lagoon, which is always good

Have begun doing more yoga in the morning, more as meditation than as exercise, and noticed that despite the  somewhat crazy week I was calmer and my stomach is calmer too.

Will be up to the mid 30s today

Got up late, 1 PM. Nannie was up in her recliner already, and she was talking about things that didn't happen....like "That man who came in my bedroom last night and walked around." and a few other la-la stories. She also talked about "that woman that sits down here on the sofa over there" (me), and she was afraid, she said, that she hadn't 'done right' when she got herself dressed because she didn't know if the clothes she put on were hers. Don't know who else's clothes they would be. I finally got her straightened out about who I was and why I was here, anyway. // I guess hubby is out in the Ford listening to the radio and having a few nips. Hope he keeps his imbibing moderate again.

It is 40 degrees, sunny, and there is a damn cold edge to the air. I was going to sit outside and drink my coffee, but called it quits after just a few minutes.

I should go out and get a few items at Food Lion (stuff for the freezer for suppers, so I don't have to go out for suppers). I have a lot of "shoulds" like dusting, cleaning the bathrooms, vacuuming the den and stairs, and straightening out my room, putting away clean clothes, etc., but right now I am not feeling inclined to do anything. SO THERE!

We got a letter from the 'dubious' rehab place; I don't believe they have inpatient rehab. Apparently someone from the doctor's office had made an appt for him there; he said he had written it down on the calendar, but I don't see it. I think that the place he had an appt at is only outpatient tx, counseling, etc. I guess that'd be better than nothing, but we'd have to go over there and find out the costs, etc, and what they provide. *sigh* But they are only open from 9 AM to 5 PM, M-F. Sooooo, to be continued....

I'm going to make another cup of coffee; I only drink the five ounce option from the whatever kind of one-cup at a time coffee maker we have, but I want MORE!  Words slip my mind too easily these days....it's a basic model Keurig. When my sister found out we have one of those, she sniffed and said "pollution." (because of the little plastic cups.)

Hope y'all are well and WARM! I know there are a few of you'n's who live in the "Arctic Air Warning" areas.

Hullo. Gray and sprinkle-y here, about 45. It got quite gusty last night, but we didn't lose power. I had to track down the garbage can lid this morning. I saw a bald eagle and a kingfisher at the park this morning. Along with the ducks, crows, and gulls. I stopped by my sis's house yesterday to see how she was doing. The Medical Center in Seattle that was supposed to call to schedule 3 tests and a follow-up visit still haven't. Sigh. Everyone is busy and things fall through the cracks but she just wants to feel better. She still tires easily and get short of breath and leg pain with even short walks. I took youngest ds to the work clothes place  today and got him 2 new pairs of work pants, a belt and some socks. I don't remember if I posted that he finally got a job, as a school bus driver, and will start orienting on Monday. And I took my car through the car wash to wash off the road de-icer  after this week's skiff of snow.  dh remains sort of withdrawn. I am starting to wonder if a new med his doc started is causing some of his moodiness. I think he has a followup next week. I am going to see if he will go to a movie tonight, or maybe we can find something to stream.

G'day!

It's 67 here after a chilly morning.

I worked the floor, started with 5:1 and got an admission.  I had the most aggravating patient I've had in years.  Top 10 worst patient ever.  Hopefully she leaves.  She was waiting on a ride.  I told her we could get her a free cab ride home if no ride shows up by 9pm.  Very manipulative and high maintenance and ruined my day.

Plus I had insomnia last night.  Bleh.....

J22, good for your ds! I hope your sister gets an appointment and helpful treatment soon.

Tweety, sorry about the irritating patient.

Hubs and I attended a sailing class today and we'll go for another next Saturday. I need to practice some knots. The instructor is the guy Hubs worked for doing boat repair before giving it up to be his mother's caregiver.

The filling I had replaced a couple weeks ago is still really sensitive and sometimes just aches badly. I'm hoping it will get better and it's just sensitive because it's new.

We watched Jurassic World Dominion last night. I thought it a fitting end to the series and true to Michael Crichton's theme of human hubris and the dangers of always seeking bigger and better.
