I didn't sleep well last night; tossed and turned until I finally fell asleep sometime between 5 and 6 AM, and then was thoroughly conked out ....when I woke up it was 1:20 PM! So I didn't get up early and tackle anything! And I am a'draggin' because I only just now took my AM meds, and hoping the hot coffee will dissolve those pills and send their good effects through my bloodstream pronto! I managed to stagger through Nannie's AM routine, and she's had all her 'breakfast' and AM meds now. Hoping that Lexapro (one and a half is the AM dose) will make Nannie feel like she has to nap, but who knows if it will or not! Have the dryer going to make sure the things left in there overnight get thoroughly dry. Other than that I have no idea if I will accomplish anything at all. Well, at least I can go upstairs and make a second cup of coffee...
S'gonna be around ....50?....but no rain in spite of the clouds being more than "partly" cloudy. The sun is struggling to shine. I guess it is a tough "morning" for all of us here.
Woke up to the sound of cones bouncing off the roof, and probably the big garden refuse tote blowing over. The is wind is gusting up to 40 mph, but the temp is up to 50. The dogs get quite jumpy with this kind of weather. I took them on a walk and they seemed fascinated with bits of paper dancing on the wind. I made some ginger cookies. After a break I plan to make Mexican chocolate cookies.
or maybe I'll take a nap. I stayed up too late last night.
G'day.
Stars, sorry for the poor night's sleep.
Dogs let me sleep in 30 minutes past their feeding time.
Had a nice day off. Got a haircut, went to some stores, including the Asian store where I got some chips and a cup of very hot Korean instant ramen for lunch. Splurge day. Then went to the gym. 🙂
Working tomorrow as my schedule is a bit off for the rest of the year but the next schedule after that has me on the schedule I signed up for.
Are you still waiting to hear about the job interview, Tweety? I might have missed some news.
I saw one of those caution signs for cat vomit and thought it would be useful here!
Did some baking today with a little help from Twin A. The candy orange slice/date/nut cake my mom always made, although I did it in small "bundtlets" instead of one big cake. And Mexican Hot Chocolate Cookies which is just a recipe I found online and wanted to try. Had planned to take them to the cookie exchange but I guess we will have to eat them 😋
I want to send some baked goods to stepson. Afraid his Christmas will be a little lonely. He is attending an Episcopal church and it sounds like people have been good to him. But it's not like having your family. We had talked about flying him out here for Christmas but money is so short with having to pay his rent every month.
I need to get a package mailed to stepdaughter and family, too. I'm so disorganized and in a bit of a mental slump.

Hi Tweety and NJ22
Stars glad it was a quiet day
Dianah dad is doing pretty good, I think he now has gotten his PICC line out, and is finishing up the antibiotics. I could use a caution sign like that
Was another pretty slow day at work thankfully. After work went to the potluck with the gay group, big crowd as there usually is with these December events. My friend B was there with a friend, he's interested in starting a similar group where he lives in Indiana
Today will go out bird watching as usual, hope it won't prove too cold. Then taking dad out to lunch for a belated celebration of his birthday. Rest of the day should be pretty quiet
Going to be quiet a bit warmer today, up to the upper 30s by later in the day, a relief after the recent cold weather
