Stars I'm glad you are able to stay positive

Ado hopefully the new medication helps

Tweety hope the power stays on

NJ22 here's hoping his infection doesn't spread

Another pretty good day at work, despite one person being off.  She had a new case I had to work on, but generally it was not a bad day

Spent some time trying to figure out the new camera, think I have all of the basic functions figured out.  Exercised and had a white Russian as usual

Unfortunately I will not be able to use the camera today as it is supposed to rain all day.  I might try to get outside Sunday before church to try it out

So today will be quieter.  Will get my coffee and maybe talk to a local business about getting a car alarm.  Might get my weekly donuts today too, usually do that before church but I may be busy tomorrow

And we're finally going to do our long delayed celebration of dad's birthday, nothing big just taking him out to a fancy restaurant

Svengoolie has The Night Walker, which I've seen before and is only so so.  Got the opera Pagliacci from the library and will watch that instead

Going to be cooler today,  in the mid 40s, with rain most of the day

Good afternoon.

Joe, hope you enjoy the weekend and dinner out.

Chilly drizzly day here.  The heavy rain is expected over night.  hope I can sleep through it.

Otherwise normal day.  Slept okay and went to hot yoga class.  Having lunch and will stay in the rest of the day.

Have a good one.

61 and light high clouds will be giving way to rain, and there is supposed to be a gully-washer starting tonight and going through tomorrow. I've got nothing to go out for, except maybe to get the mail out of the mailbox. Gosh, maybe there will be a monetary surprise out there after the mail runs! ? ....or maybe just the usual junk: send us money, donate, join our cause, sales, sales, and more sales.

Had the usual hunt for Nannie's used incontinence products, strewn over here and over there. Don't know why she doesn't put them in the trash. But she DID put her pj bottoms in the trash! The sheets had to be changed on her bed; I dug around in her linen closet and found a fitted sheet that still has enough elastic to make it stay on the mattress; then I had to go upstairs to find the matching top sheet. Both are light colored, so any pee spots are bound to show up, but I got tired of rotating the same old sheet sets. 'Laundry' may very well be my middle name!

Speaking of which, that brings to mind a piano piece I had to practice when I started piano lessons in the 4th grade: "The Washer Woman" -----

"Oh, I work all day, Wash all day, Making the clothes real clean, It's a chore, It's a bore, You know just what I mean, Makes me fret, Makes me sweat, I don't feel like a Queen; Oh how I wish for a washing machine."

I could print out the words to several other songs I had to practice, but to keep y'all in suspense, I'll save them for another day!

Saw on the network news that a small plane crashed on the highway a few miles from where I used to live. They only said the Interstate number and the town, but not WHERE. I left a message for step-daughter and she sent back a text as to where on the highway the crash and burn was. Nobody in the plane was badly hurt, thank goodness. But there must've been quite a sound when it hit! I've traveled that highway many times, and I'm glad something like that ever happened when I lived up there!

Just going with the flow today, not sure what I feel like getting into.

Slow starting the day. Hubs declared he had to go to the lake to put the new registration stickers on the boat. So after getting Gma breakfasted and toileted he left. I got to clean up after the dog. The boys are still abed or at least not coming out to interact. I've watched Meet Me in St. Louis and now I'm watching Little Women. Finished my book last night.

Twin A did go out with me but somehow the money I had set aside got spent. I knew Hubs was buying a welder but that should still have left some for gifts. So that took some of the wind out of my sails. We did visit the bookstore. And the pet store. I bought elevated dog bowls. Can't tell that it helps Darby much. She still looks really awkward trying to eat or drink.

Gma's eyes look better already. It's nearly impossible to keep her from touching them. Yesterday I saw her licking her fingers and then rubbing her eyes. We put gloves on her and that works for awhile.

Turbo cat loves it when I sit around. She sits in my lap and insists on being petted.

w00t! --- Hallelujah! ---YIPPEEEE-KIYAYYYYY! ---

Whilst in search of the papers I need to call Wells Fargo about, I FOUND THE TAX TRANSCRIPTS for 2016, 2017, and 2018! WOW! I am so HAPPY! Now I can call and make an appt with the SSA to get my SS benefit check switched to receiving hubby's SS benefit check! Well, the onliest thing I am missing should be arriving in about a week or so, and that is hubby's birth certificate from SC. I am so relieved that I no longer have to beat my head on the IRS's Great Brick Wall Of Telephone Silence!

I just have to get all my ducks into a folder so I can take it all over there ASAP! WHEW!

Now I am hoping to locate Nannie's will, which I believe I may have stashed in a secret place, well before hubby passed away,  so that BiL and SiL couldn't get a copy of it before Nannie slides up to Heaven! That's up there in my stuff somewhere, I know. That's the trouble with hiding things..... you can't remember the safe place where you hid it!

This has really MADE MY DAY!! ????? OMG, and I ain't kiddin'!

Great news Stars!!

So glad for you, Stars!!

Ado, hope all the affected eyes in your family are improving.  I've wondered about getting those elevated bowls, will be interested in your reviews.

Toby is subdued and not eating like he used to.  We are watching him, and may take him to the vet this coming week.  I know the vet can't work miracles, yet I would be interested to know what the lab values are.

Spur of the moment, on Thursday night, I looked up the reservation calendar for our Disney passes.  Where before when I checked, it ALWAYS showed there were no reservations available, this time it showed there were some available for Friday (none will be available - we are blocked out, from Friday through Jan 6).  So, 11pm on Thursday night, we booked reservations, and then spent Friday at Disneyland!  It was a really good day.  Temp got up to 80 degrees, crowds weren't bad.  Decorations and lights beautiful, as always.  We heard two bands, and met a couple we've known for years, through Disney visits.  Got to visit with them and with one of our musician friends.  We took the train around the parks, rode the horse-drawn trolley, and rode on Jungle Cruise (haven't ridden that in YEARS)!  Had a nice meal, didn't get cold, and then we walked back through Downtown Disney and experienced their "snow" experience (every 30 min each evening) near the LEGO store.  We got in 11,800 steps, and today we are resting!!

Rain is predicted here, starting Wednesday.  Should be a nice change.

On Hulu, I started watching Only Murders in the Building, starring Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez.  Developed by Steve Martin and John Hoffman, and all three of the stars are Executive Producers (I assume Steve Martin assists with the writing too).  As I expected, it is very quirky but good!  I am used to watching Agatha Christie's Poirot series, or Father Brown, where the mysteries are solved in an hour or two.  OMITB apparently is dragging the solving of the murder out, -- I'm guessing it will be solved at the end of Season One, and then they have two more seasons to solve new murders???  Anyway, it is a different type of program for me, and it's good. ?

Have a good evening!

Great news, Stars!

We put up the tree and we're going to watch a movie. It's an animated movie called Leo. The boys chose.
