Stars glad you got a break from her and got some things done

Ado it can be a challenge to plan for Christmas around work schedules

Tweety glad the surgery went well, hope the pain eases up

Dianah that's good that you found someone to to use the telescope

NJ22 I think my grandmother did some Alaska cruises

Yesterday started off with a company wide phone system outage, which was annoying, but thankfully resolved before lunch, and I had a pretty light schedule despite having to cover for someone.  Though in the afternoon both the person I was covering for and myself got new cases, which was also annoying.  But was able to get started at least on both

Rest of the day was thankfully pretty quiet, stopped at the library, exercised, and just relaxed

Today will get outside if its not too cold.  Then will have lunch with dad as usual. Might do some baking later, or might wait until tomorrow

Going to get up to 40 today although it seems like it might be pretty windy

Good morning.

Joe, enjoy your weekend.

J22 Come From Away has done well with the critics and will put it on my watchlist.

Thanks for the well wishes.  I'm doing relatively well.  Was pretty bloated and miserable last night after dinner, walked around some and fell asleep and feel better today.  The pain in right side remains and is relatively uncomfortable but manageable with Tylenol and ibuprofen.  I have oxycodone should I need it but it's only 5 mg and doesn't help all that much.  It just has to run it course I guess.   It's expected but of course I have to be the one that it lingers on and on.  Felt good enough to have best friend take me to the grocery store and stock up on things.  I set him free and I'm home.

Going to read, watch TV and be lazy otherwise.

Just got a text from SiL that she will be over here to cut my hair in 20 minutes. YAY!

Nannie and I both slept until 1 PM today! I woke up at 10 AM and took my meds because my knees, thighs and hips are cranky. Didn't help that much though. I took Tinker out to walk and it was not a whole lot of fun, but I made it without falling down!

Welp, better change my shirt to a T-shirt and wet my head down......

Hi. It got down to 34 last night, and it's only 42 now, and raining. Yuck. It was dry this morning, so I walked home. dh went to the demo garden to help clean up the greenhouse that got flooded. I stayed home and made Mexican chocolate cookies. I'm eating lunch (avocado toast with pumpkin seeds and flax meal), then I'm going to make ginger cookies. And I need to wash clothes.

I'm so glad I don't need to work around Christmas shifts anymore. I grew up with a dad who always seemed to work on the holidays, and when I worked in the hospital, we were required to work either Christmas eve or Christmas day. That made it hard for me on 3-11 to host dinner. Now all of our family works office type hours, so scheduling is no problem.

My legs have been extra achy, lately. I made an appointment to get my knees injected next month. I think I need new walking shoes too, with better padding and support. Getting older ain't for wussies.

The cookies sound good!  You walk a lot, good supportive shoes are important, and methinks they don't last as long as we would like them to.

Rest up, Tweety!

No Stars, glad you slept in and that the meds helped your joints.

Joe, the work will be there in Monday, yes?  It always seemed there was more to do at work during the holiday season, tho I would be hard-pressed to prove that.

I wish I could divorce Nannie.
