Tweety that is a pretty steep price, even with a discount

Ado I normally go for black coffee as well

Stars sound like another productive day

NJ22 that is frustrating to hear specialists contradict each other.  I will have 3 days off

Dianah glad Toby is doing better and your dh doesn't have Covid.  The environmental group is supposed to clear brush

Yesterday was actually pretty good at work.  Nothing unusual happened, and a coworker was able to assist with some of the stuff for the people who are off.  I ended up getting done about an hour early, so I got to leave early.  Used the time to stop by Trader Joe's and the bank.  Made a recipe I saw online, adding 5oz melted dark chocolate to 3/4c orange juice.  The flavor was good though it was a bit grainy, might not have heated it enough

Was supposed to go with the environmental group today, but woke up feeling tired and with the stomach issues that have plagued me for the last 2 days, so I'm going to skip that.  Will test myself for Covid before meeting dad for lunch, just in case.  Since I won't be going out I might try another recipe I saw online, making bread on the stovetop

Have had this odd anxiety the last 2 days.  It could be just the normal craziness of work and all the Christmas stuff.  Have to say this Christmas has been a bit meh so far, so perhaps the stress is outweighing the pleasure.  Have also been thinking about next year,  plan to bring counseling to a close and begin dating again, so that stress may be a factor too

Thankfully it will not  be raining today,  and will get up to about 50

Almost noon, and I am resting, propped up on pillows, in bed, having my coffee. Ahhhhh! ? Pretty soon I will have to get up and get dressed, though. I already fed Momo and she has come  back to bed and is under the comforter with me. (Me and My Shadow). But soon it will be time to get Nannie up.

So, I thought it was Friday, but it isn't! And here's another rude surprise.... You know how they say that assuming something can make you an azz? Well, I didn't realize that when I went to the bank the other day, having hubby's name taken off the checking acct meant that my account # is no longer my account! So, I have to wait until after Christmas in order to access or get the balance of my  account!!  I found out there was another (ie a 2nd) checking acct ( !??? )that I had no idea about, and they transferred the $ from that mystery acct to the balance of my checking acct. So, will I be able to access my $ on Tuesday ....or Wednesday, if they are still closed on Tuesday as part of their Holiday time? I dunno. All I know is when I call in to the automated teller and enter my acct #, it says that the numbers I entered were not correct. And I don't know my new acct # and the bank's closed anyway. BiL has Nannie's checkbook now, and he can't get into her new acct # yet, either! I wonder how long it will take for my new checks to get here? I have some bills to pay, but OH WELL! Can't access that acct on-line even if I was so inclined! Fortunately, if John Travolta asks me, "What's in YOUR wallet?" I can say I DO have some cash in my wallet. Not a LOT, but sufficient to squeak through until next week. ------ {That is today's "it's always something!"}

I did get our medisets refilled. I will probably putter around between my two bedrooms, and I also have dishes to wash, and possibly some laundry, depending  on the state of Nannie's bed linens when I get her up. Not lacking for something to keep me busy!

Okay, time to start in with my day. I may possibly be back here later (what a surprise, eh?). Hope all have a good day before the day before Christmas Eve!

Im taking a little break from house cleaning. Im afraid that if I sit too long I won't get up, as I've done all week. I went for a little run, then took the dogs for a walk. I did a quick scan of the backyard for dog messes, because dd is bringing her dog over and will obliterate any piles that might be scoop able. Gross, I know. Then dogs got a spa treatment: shampoo and pedis, which they did not appreciate. I've got laundry going, the recycle paper taken out. Next on the list is bathrooms and vacuuming. dh was gone for 8 hours yesterday to shop, and is heading out again, soon. Tomorrow will be pie making, and prepping the dressing and turkey.

Dianah, I will bring up a tilt table with cardio/EP. sis never has syncope or near syncope, she just falls over. ENT suggested a loss of proprioception. I've brought up the sodium issue to numerous providers and they just shrug and change the subject. She saw a nephrologist in the past who advised her to limit free water, and eat salty things. But now with heart failure the knee-jerk instruction is limit salt. Sigh.

Joe, I don't think I would want to clear brush with GI issues. for sure. Happy belated birthday to your dad.

Stars, that is weird with your accounts, especially if you spent 2 hours there. I'm surprised they didn't offer you a few counter checks.

Wow, Tweety, that is going to be some trip! We are thinking the same thing though about traveling. In fact, I need to get serious about looking into Alaska and Italy.

Okie doke, I need to get moving.

Twin B greeted me this morning with "Merry Christmas Adam" and it took me a moment to get it.

No one else showed an interest in planning dinner so ... we are having a smoked ham and various sides. Hubs wanted an apple pie. I'm making that easy fudge again. It's so easy and has a nice texture and flavor. I got Girardhelli chocolate chips to make it with. Like Joe, I'm not feeling particularly festive. Part of my problem was how quickly the money went. Will have to take a good hard look at the budget.

Gma's doctor suggested hospice care so that Hubs can have some help. They'll come bathe her a couple of times a week and apparently there are meals she can get. I think that will mean some changes to her meds, too, but maybe not.

Hello again.

Nannie actually wanted to go to bed at 9:30 PM> I was so happy!

Now Momo and I are going to go to bed....except I will be sitting up a while to read.

Tomorrow we go to eat at SiL's, once they tell me how to get there. I still have a lot of moving and shifting stuff around in preparation for inhabiting my new bedroom. Wonder how Momo will take it? I'd say that as long as I am in there, and the bed is the same bed with two little footstools at the foot of it that allow her to get up on the bed by herself, she'll be fine. Naturally, because *I* am the main factor in where ever she is!

Okay, goodnight!

Good evening,

Joe, hope your GI issues resolve soon.

Stars, that is frustrating not to have access to your accounts.

Work was super busy. 6:1 ratio and only three of my patients had a tech assigned to them.   Started off with an admission at 7AM and a unit of blood to give and worked steady until about 13:30 when I was able to get lunch.  Worked steady until about 5:30 when I sat down, and I kid you not I sat down for maybe 3 seconds and one patient had to go to the bathroom (not an easy chore), one's IV was bleeding and needed restarting, and one was "feeling woozy".  Then kept busy until 7pm when a patient was having chest pain and it was legit symptomatic bigeminy and I called a rapid response.  Clocked out at 21:15.  Said "f-it" and went to McD's for dinner and now heading to bed.  Thankfully off tomorrow.

My coworker who signed up to work Christmas and changed her mind only to be told she's working Christmas started up again yesterday about how tired she is of being treated like crap, how dare the manager take the week off when others have to work, blah blah blah.  Then today she texted me, (she floated) and said "I'm coughing and am not going to bring the food I promised on Christmas Day because I don't want to make anyone sick, but we get a free meal".   I think she's setting me up that she's going to call in sick.  Honestly she should have gotten it off since she worked last year, but it's also her fault for changing her mind afterwards.  I told her that all management above us has Christmas off other than one Administrator on Duty.  Why she is so resentful is beyond me.  Sorry I'm babbling because I'm so tired.....bye now.  LOL
