Good Afternoon! It is 61 degrees and cloudy; chances of 'off-and-on rain', and I don't care! I do need to go buy some more underpads for Nannie and Momo, but that's Just a quick dash kind of errand. Nannie is already ? in her recliner.
BiL just called and said he has rec'd the official okay for Nannie's guardianship. He has to come over Wednesday or Thursday, and go through some papers I had found: house deed, insurance value of the house, etc. I saved a lot of receipts and we will have to go through them to see what kind of $$ should be set aside for me to purchase her goodies and stuff. I don't look forward to that. But, anyway, it'll happen, and I hope it'll be easier than I anticipate. He said he will be audited once a year by the courts. I sure am glad *I* refused to do the guardianship myself! It would twist up my brain, aggravate me, and make me berserk!
It would be nice if the good neighbor could sell off a few more things from the guns/ammo and hand me some more cash! One can always hope!
Maybe when I get back from the errand, I can start emptying hubby's clothes from the closet, and move my clothes in there. Tuesday I will try to drop off bags of his stuff at the Thrift Shop on my way out to the KIA dealership to see about the buggy 'low-tire' warning light that keeps showing up like a bad penny.
Now that I've decided to take over hubby's room, I do have to move the smaller pieces of furniture out and take the bed frame apart. Then, whenever I can get some muscle over here to move a few pieces of furniture I can't move on my own, I can get it all settled for my occupancy! Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy!
I do plan on giving most of the framed needle-work to whichever family member wants them. Well, the stuff from the third level anyway. I don't want to start dismantling the formal LR and dining rooms. But I also would like to start the redistribution of the many, many, many angel pieces, both home-made and figurines. They are pretty (well, some of them are) and I think of sentimental value to some family members. I will keep maybe two of them. I'd rather get my stuff out of the shed, but that will take a lot of time and effort. I have a few pieces of my mom's, but there is not a clue as to how deep into the shed they are located! I wouldn't mind at all finding some of my pictures from the walls when we lived in the mountains. and some of the funky old kitchen things I've collected over the years.
But daydreaming about that is keeping me from my errand for the under-pads, a most important and necessary product here in this house! So, I'm going to get ready and dash--------
Hubs and I made a dash out today and bought Depends (or some other brand) for Gma. Also bought a cat tree. He assembled it and so far the cats have not paid it any attention. Oh, Sam is checking it out now. We're watching Dr Who. The character Donna was yelling about something so Gma says she's a sh!t@ss. Gma got up today with what looks like conjunctivitis. Hubs wanted to wait until Monday to do a televisit with the doctor but I think he will take her to the urgent care tomorrow.
I forgot to mention the shape I found Nannie in when I went to get her up! She had gotten up sometime earlier and took off her lower garments. THEN she put the already used pull-ups and pads back on, but inside-out and still wet....(and she had no pants on.) which was naturally absorbed by her bedding. OY! (Notice there is no letter "J" on the front of that word!)
Today, I spent what will probably be my last time doubling up our groceries with a check from Nannie's checking account ?. And they need to pay me my own money (like I was taking $200 a month for my 'pay') But, we'll see. I've never had to make an actual budget, and the very idea of trying to do so has me ready to break out in hives!
"Ch-ch-ch-ch-CHANGES!" (Shades of David Bowie!)
Anyway, there's 45 minutes until we (start to) go to bed. Momo always stands up at 9:55 PM and lets me know it is TIME! I'm ready to go upstairs now, but I don't get to go there until I've got Nannie tucked in.
hi. We got MiL home. She is still very tired, hoping she can rest better at home. Promised she will turn off her phone. She is pumped full of albuterol and prednisone, so fingers crossed. We stopped for a late lunch that was meh. I cleaned up the kitchen, worked on a jigsaw puzzle, and hope to turn in early. Weather was sunny, rain will return tomorrow. Im having leftover pizza for dinner.

Stars I'm glad Momo behaved for her vet visit
NJ22 I hope she was discharged today
Tweety that was poor planning on their part
Was not a bad day at work yesterday, despite someone being out and having to get ready to be off on Monday. Hopefully things will still be calm when I return on Tuesday
Spent the lunch hour doing car stuff, like getting an appointment next week for the car to be checked out, and running to the village office for a new sticker. Turns out you can only get those in person
After work had to do more car stuff, including looking into changing insurance. Tried a deal my credit union offers but it was a lot more money for less coverage. Online searching turned up a lot of plans with less coverage. Given that the increase was less than I thought I may stick with the current insurance for a while longer
Today will go out hiking as long as the rain holds off. Dad has a cold so we'll wait until next weekend to go out and celebrate his birthday. Need to pick up a cargo net for the car and check out places that install car alarms. And sometime this weekend I need to bake the cake for next week's potluck
Will be in the mid 40s today, rain should hold off until tonight
