Stars nice that you will get a break from her today

Tweety I agree that people who do what they say deserve credit even if they make mistakes

Dianah I'm surprised they're predicting snow this late in the year

Yesterday was not bad at work, had time to spare to do some of the cleaning.  Felt better too although still a little down for some reason

Rest of the day was pretty quiet, ran an errand or two and exercised but otherwise was quiet

Today going out bird watching then having lunch with dad as usual.  In the evening have the dinner with the over 50 group, looks like we'll have 8 people.  Almost forgot to make the reservation

Svengoolie has Willard which I'll skip

Going to be cooler today, in the mid 50s I think

Just a few minutes after 12 noon. I woke up an hour ago and took my meds, because as usual my hips and knees were hobbling me. Thank goodness the meds and an hours rest waiting for them to work does ease it off.

I went down for coffee and there was Nannie sitting in her recliner. I muttered under my breath the way Melania does when she has to spend time with her husband. But then I prepared her breakfast, gave her the crushed up meds with pudding....she STILL chews the grains of pills....crunch,crunch,crunch, and then, responding to the pudding the meds are in, "Mmm that's good!" .....even with bitter pill pieces crushed and mixed in the pudding.

Anyway I told her I was going back to bed, and I'd be down to get her dressed after a while. Not that she'll remember, but still....

I FINALLY did those *%*)_$%* dirty dishes in the sink last night. Now they are starting to accumulate again; dishes are Bad little P-I-A's, and sometimes I think I hear them giggling at my response to them.

The trash fills with used Chux; between Momo and Nannie, they go through underpads like you wouldn't believe,

I haven't done MY laundry yet, so I may attend to that after a while. Once Nannie has been to the bathroom and is dressed for the day, I can start a laundry. I have to wait because the washer is still leaking with every load and I have to distribute the heavy towels down on the floor in several places where the leak makes itself known. Can't have Nannie tripping around on soggy towels.

So, another day.....minutes marching slowly into hours....toward bedtime for Nannie. That's the "light at the end of the tunnel" for me each day. It is a terrible thing to be starting the day waiting for the end on the day. But that's life right now. w00t?

PS: Nannie is still eating her dessert first, and, even with a small dessert, after she eats it, she may eat about 1/4 of her meal and then "can't eat anymore." Heck, rather than wasting the food, I went ahead and finished it off last night and that was MY supper. It actually wouldn't hurt her to lose a little bit of that weight she puts on by sitting still all day. But just eating dessert is not very nutritionally sound. And I guess this is where I say "OH WELL!"

Hello!

Joe, about 25 years ago we had snow/rain on June 1!!  Don't I sound like an old cronie, "In my day, we had snow any time of the year, young man!" (said while rocking in the rocking chair on the porch) 😄😄

I didn't get to sleep till after 4, so slept till 10.  We are on with the Zoom Sabbath School for a few more minutes.  It is certainly stormy and rainy out, so probably we will stay inside for the day.  I may make some taco salad for lunch, and prepare an eggplant lasagne for later and the next few days.  We still have some soup in the freezer, but I wanted the lasagne. 😉   And the taco salad.

I need to get the car in for a service next week.  I am still bummed by Jo-Ann's stores closing.  It was comforting to me to have one nearby and available if I got the urge to sew or create with fabric.  I haven't yet done a search for "fabric stores near me," to see what's available.

Have a good day/evening!

Hi. I took a long bike ride, about 15 miles this morning, to burn off my waffle. Then I ran to the grocery to get fixin's to make potato salad, greek salad,  and a yellow cake mix. Our kids are coming by tonight for dinner, and I made dd a cake for her birthday. dh is going to grill some chunks of meat outside. It's sunny, in the mid 60s. I've been chopping and mixing and cleaning up the kitchen. Dogs look very forlorn because I've haven't sat down for our midday snuggle, while I read the news online.

Had a lot of admissions and steady busy day.

Had to be on a low fiber diet in prep for my colonscopy on Tuesday.  This practice does a three day prep.  Low Fiber, Full and then clears.  Very annoying.  Mild laxatives start tonight but heavy duty stuff on Monday.  Oh joy.  I'll live.
