Tweety that does seem an unfair assignment

Stars wondering what solutions there could be that could make the daily clean up easier

NJ22 surprised that sleep studies can be done at home

Ado hopefully yesterday's storms missed you, and today's as well

Work ended up being crazy, had a complicated problem to deal with along with covering for a coworker who was out.  And both the coworker and I got new cases.  Thankfully I was able to get my new one done by the end of the day, will have to do the other one Monday

Rest of the day was quiet, had an old fashioned and watched It's Arbor Day Charlie Brown.  And kept track of all the various tornadoes reported yesterday

Today will do some bird watching, then have to take the cat to the vet for another blood test and myself to the dentist to get my new mouth guard and to make sure it fits.  Hopefully won't be late to lunch with dad

Someone from the book club is going to be in a choir concert this evening, doing Carl Orff's Carmina Burana, so I'll be skipping Svengoolie this evening

Will get up to almost 80 today although it will be stormy, hopefully late in the day

I was surprised at the at-home sleep study, too. I think it's a great idea.

My mouth guard needs some adjustment. My new crown is rounder than the original tooth. I took it in right after for some adjustment and it's better but still not "right,"

It looks like we're leaning toward a zoom meeting for book club. Probably just as well. Hubs decided against his trip. And of course we have the prep work to do before the heat treatment.

Good Ugh Afternoon~

Woke up feeling kind of rugged, with the gypsies in my hips, but hoping the meds will kick in soon.

When I got down to Nannie's room, apparently she had been up a little while. There were clothes all over the place, tried and discarded by her, I guess. She was sitting on the bed with two jerseys on backwards and no pants or pull-up on at all. The wet pull-up and pads were rolled up and set on the top of the dryer. When I got her dressed, she said the hem of her jacket was wet....and it was. Changed it to another 'favorite' jacket. Yes the bed is wet through from her sitting there leaking, w/ no disposables on. I mumbled a cuss word or two and decided I wasn't going to launder her bedding AGAIN. I pulled all the sheets and blankets down to expose the wet areas and turned the ceiling fan on high. I just can't do that bed-changing every single day, and today was one of those days! I feel a tad guilty for taking care of the wetness that way, but it will be dried by the time she goes to bed. And the wetness isn't as bad as it was yesterday, so I am short-cutting by using the fan to dry it off. Anyway....BAH!

Supposed to get into the upper 70's today, and though rain has not been predicted, there are dark gray clouds hanging kind of low. Oh well, so what, who cares?!

Haven't heard from SiL so I don't know if she is planning to come by this afternoon after work, or what. It would be nice if she came over tomorrow and took Nannie to her house for the afternoon. We'll see. She promises me, "It will get better soon." She's been saying that since she has switched to part-time, she could get Nannie several days each week. Here's hoping 'soon' is sooner than not! And it would be great if Nannie's name got to the top of the Senior Center's daycare waiting list. Seems like I'm always waiting for SOMETHING to give!

Nannie and Momo both have their eyes closed. If I clear my throat, Nannie's eyes open and she says, "What?" ( 🙄 OY! ) /// "Nothing, Nannie, I just cleared my throat." /// "Oh. Okay."

Prolly will go upstairs in a bit, and hang up and put away two baskets of my washed and dried clothes. I also have a gazillion magazines to toss out to recycling. One of these days I might even separate the shredding from the envelopes (the blank envelopes go in recycling, and anything with my name/address on it gets shredded.).

If I thought it would make me feel any better, I'd go back to bed, but I don't think that would help, soooooo....

Another day, but not another dollar. 🤣

Dory dog is having fits today and I'm sure it's the wind and impending storms. She's exhausting. But, poor girl, I don't know how to help.

Poor Dory dog. I hope the weather calms and she and you can rest. I will probably need glasses this fall and I cringe at the cost, now that we have no vision insurance. Our Medicare pays some towards the exam (not all), but not glasses. I looked into insurance, but for the cost, it doesn't cover much.

Stars, I don't know how you do it, honestly. That mattress must reek, but there doesn't seem to be an easy solution, if she's able to get up and disrobe at will.

I had a mouth guard that I ordered on line, and then promptly lost it. Oh well. My front tooth enamel is so thin, I don't think a mouth guard is going to make much difference.

My little dog still has some accidents. I have a pad in one spot that she will use, but I have to keep her out of the bedrooms that are carpeted during the day because she seems drawn to pee on them.  At least when it's nice, she is outside, a lot. It has not been nice for the last 3 days, rain and in the 40s and lo 50s. Our lovely cherry trees that were full of pink blossoms are stripped of their blooms. That seems to happen every year. Then the ground is pink, until the petals turn brown and slimy.

Dogs are snoozing now, and I may as well, soon. dh is watching yet more football drafting. The sleep test was easy to set up, but every time he turned to his side that he normally sleeps on, the sensor moved away from his chest wall and an alert light came on. On the YouTube how-to video we were directed to, this seemed to be a common complaint. I'm not sure the results will be valid, but oh well. He needed a CPAP before, so I'm sure he still does. The machines are much better, so I think he will actually wear it if and when he gets it. This test is likely to justify coverage for it.

No, no, the mattress itself is covered with chux, underneath the fitted sheet, so it doesn't reek, thank goodness. It's just all the things on top of that layer of chux that get wet. So it's easy enough to change those wetted chux. The mattress itself only got wet one time, and after I got it dry, I flipped the mattress to the other side. The sheets and blankets are laundered so often that I think they'll eventually shred from all the friction of washer-agitation! ( Or *I* will shred from all the mental agitation !! 😋 )

Nannie got mad at me last night at bedtime. I went upstairs to get her meds, and when I came back down to the bathroom, she was about to add a THIRD pad to the pull-up, and I wouldn't let her do so. She closed her mouth tightly and when she got into bed, she stared at the ceiling and wouldn't say anything to me at all. Not even 'good night'. I can 'get' her wanting to use the two pads in the pull-up....sometimes 'we' only have to pull off the top pad because the rest are still dry, and replace that pad with a fresh one. But 3 ? No, uh-uh. She would wear the entire collection of pads in one pull-up if she could!  😂 But she'd be sitting TALL, (as if 'sitting on the fence')if she had 28 pads in one pull-up!

G'day!

Not too crazy of a day.  Discharged 7 and got 7 in.  It's relentless the amount of admissions we get.  I guess it's a symptom of a sick society and a growing population I guess.  Seems like every other admission is for some sort of cellulitis, osteomyelitis and infection.  Plus every other person is crazy and/or entitled.  One lady didn't like her view when she was admitted and demanded to be moved to a nicer view.  Shaking my damn head

Pretty entitled to demand a better view. Yikes! I wish we could get more admissions.

Gma somehow got a roll of toilet paper that she was sitting at the dining table this afternoon with, methodically tearing off squares and piling them in front of her. I tried to take it away and she got so upset-- "I *have* to have that" -- that I gave up.

Had a nice online book club meeting. Dory is calmer
