Santa Rosa Junior College Fall 2020

Published

Hello!
I haven’t seen a post yet for anyone applying to SRJC for Fall 2020/Spring 2021. I’m anxiously waiting to hear back, but it’s a long way until June! Any tips from anyone currently in the program on how to focus my “off time” this semester to stay sharp?

I applied this round as well ?

So bummed but at least there is an update!

Most recent update from SRJC Nursing Dept:

“4/13/20 UPDATE

Important Update for Current SRJC ADN Program Applicants:

Completed applications submitted during the October 2, 2019 through February 7, 2020 application cycle are now being evaluated and prepared for the lottery process. Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, there will not be conditional admissions of a Fall 2020 nursing cohort. Instead, conditional admissions letters will be sent out by mid-July for the Spring 2021, Fall 2021, and Spring 2022 semesters.

Important Information for Future Applicants:

The next application period for admissions to the SRJC Associate Degree Nursing Program will begin October 2, 2021 through February 7, 2022. The revised application manual and form will be posted to this website by July 2021.“

dang. I hope this doesn't start a trend for other programs. Did you receive this in an email? I haven't gotten this notification.

nevermind, I see it on the website. such a bummer

No I stumbled on it on the JC nursing website kind of on accident, I was looking for the list of needed vaccines and the update was on the homepage. ☹️ I’m glad they’re just not scrapping the applications entirely but waiting for mid July is going to be painful.

At least they updated and let us know. Other programs are very vague and not updating on notices. I'm glad they're still keeping our apps as well.

Did SRJC update their ADN page bc I dont see the bit where they mentioned that they won’t be taking on new students in the fall anymore. Does anyone know if they decided to take on new nursing students for fall 2020 after all?

It’s updated on the main website under 4/13/2020 update

Hey guys! I'm so happy you are considering SRJC - I am B semester student there. Unfortunately, on 4/3, our dean announced that semesters A-C will be cancelled and have to restart instruction in the fall. This really was a hard pill to swallow as we had completed our first rotations of the semester and received final grades for them. Unfortunately this also meant that the A students couldn't move forward, and thus we have no room to accept new students. I urge you all to not give up - the times are just unprecedented and insane. Best of luck to you all!

Thanks for your response! From what I understand from the ADN website, new students will not be accepted for Fall 2020 but WILL be accepted for Spring '21, Fall '21 and Spring '22. I hope you fare well during the fall and hopefully I'll see you on campus in the Spring!

Does anyone know if they’re going to be holding classes remotely via zoom?
