SANTA FE COLLEGE ADN FALL 2019 HOPEFULS

Published

Hi everyone just making this discussion board for everyone applying to Santa Fe's ADN program (Gainesville, FL) for Fall 2019. How do you feel about the new admission criteria. List your points below as well!

Does anyone know when the results will be out? It’s normally sometime next week!!!

I was told the middle of May but no specific date

It said 10-15 businesses days after the cut off.

Applying with 45. Scared to death and don’t think I’ll get in. Also my first time applying. Will apply the next cycle and I’m doing human nutrition over the summer so I’ll be at 55 next cycle. Good luck to all!

Good luck migrating I’m scared as well!

If you guys decide to attend Santa Fe are y’all planning to commute or relocate to Gainesville.

I haven’t decided yet if I’ll move or stay home. I live only an hour from there but it would be nice to be close to the school that way the drive doesn’t make me so tired ? are you thinking about moving if you get in?

Yes I only live about 40 minutes away, but I wouldn’t mind living closer to campus. Gainesville has so many rental options I think I might move to make it easier on me. I also still live at home and having to focus on school and home life might be a little much.

I also live about an hour away but I don’t think I’d be very productive if I stayed at home and I will have enough of my financial aid refund to pay for most of the rent for an apartment. I’m looking at the nook and the niche, they seem to be the best for the price. I’ve heard all student housing in Gainesville is terrible so it’s like picking your poison ?

To all students who read this in the future and were told to do AP courses in HS - don’t. I lost considerable points on my prereq GPA because it’s “forced” them to give my English and Psych (which... let’s be honest are probably not going to be as hard as say stats or micro) B’s to “fill in.” I can’t retake those courses. I feel horrible. Oh well. At least I’m 18 and can have a good chance next app cycle!

Same! There’s apartments right next to Santa Fe but I’ve read so many bad reviews about almost all the apts in Gainesville.(maybe house or condo are better options) I thought if I went up on price range that would make the apartments better, but not necessarily lol. I would like to roommate with all nursing students I think it makes everyone on the same page. I don’t think I would do as well in school living at home plus that 90 minute drive a day.

Wow migrating if you got an A in the course they should have gave you an A. Maybe you can speak with someone higher up like the Dean about it?
