Applied to the spring 2017 ADN program for Santa Ana College.

I was wondering how many points other people had when applying...

I have 61 pts at best so I've little hope of getting in :( should've taken pharm & nursing concepts last year..

does anyone know if the draw the randoms out of the entire elligible applicant pool? Or out of those with an average amount of points? Not exactly sure how this works.

Let's be hopeful haha. I saw on the last thread that someone on the alternate list with 59 points got in!

From my understanding the random draw is done from the entire eligible applicant pool. I believe it's done after the top applicants have been selected.

Try to be positive though there was someone who was offered a spot last time with only 59pts. Or do I read on a previous post.

I wonder if the fact SAC is changing to a Concept based curriculum is going to affect the applicant pool at all.

I spoke with the health science department and they stated that the random applicants are selected first and then the top ranked applicants follow.

oh.. Did they mention what happens if a top applicant was drawn as a random applicant at first? Thanks for sharing that tidbit

I would assume they would be selected. That wouldn't be fair for a top applicant if they were not selected.

I think what MilkBun is asking is whether or not a top applicant was already selected for the random draw.

Not if they were also entered in to the draw.

I doubt they will give out that information at this point. I hate the wait but I dont think they are going to release any information until November

i hate the wait!

One more month!
