I don’t think they have to be invited to be considered in the lottery. Last semester someone got in with a 42 and they did not invite that low of a number for documentation.

Hi, if you don't mind me asking, where did you get that information of the person getting in with a 42? I had always figured they did the lottery with the people who were invited for documentation.

One last thing, do they require us to send over transcripts electronically? Or should we attach it in the packet/envelope?

Attach in the envelope !

I’ve competed all of my prereqs at Delta, do I still have to submit a transcript?

Hi,

When you order your teas transcript, it asks to choose one of the high scores. So, it only sends your one score that you choose or the whole transcript?

Thank you.

No that is wrong. They invite the majority of the applicants by their point system, then they pick 10% of the applicants by lottery regardless of points. But they still have to submit documents to make sure it all checks out.

do we leave the "advanced placement option" on the checklist blank?

That’s only if you’re currently an LVN or Psychiatric Technician. Then you are eligible for advanced placement.

It only sends the score you choose. Not all of your attempts.

No you do not need to if all of them were completed at Delta. But if you took any courses at another college, then yes.

Also, for things that do not apply to me, such as work license and stuff, do I just leave it blank and not check off anything??

Yeah you leave it blank.

I’m pretty new to this. What is the best way to get course descriptions for your classes? Also, they just need the course descriptions for the prerequisites right? Not like your whole transcript?

I’m planning on dropping my docs off tomorrow after class, so if anyone from the Sacramento area wants me to drop off theirs, I would be more than happy. I just don’t feel comfortable mailing it lol.

You have to go to your school’s course catalog they have online and you print out the course descriptions from the catalog year that you took them in. They only need course descriptions for the pre-requisites that were not completed at Delta, so they can see if it is equivalent.

I called bc I was unsure if they wanted course descriptions from all classes taken at other colleges, even if they weren’t prereqs and they wanted all course descriptions.

Oh wow thanks for finding that out. I got a lot more printing to do then

That doesn’t seem right. I’ve taken a lot of classes and it wouldn’t make sense to send all course descriptions for a class that isn’t relevant to the pre-requisites.
