Hi JunelMar,
I calculated: science pre-requisites (27 pts.), other pre-requisites (6 pts.), TEAS (24 pts.), BS degree (5 pts.), EMT certification (2 pts.), bilingual (2.5 pts.), and life experience (2.5). 69 points total based on their screening form.
I also applied to ARC, I have 80 points based on their criteria but their selection process is just lottery for the top applicants.
I applied to ARC, SJDC, and Butte College which is more north going towards Redding. That is the one I want the most because it is closer to me but if I get into SJDC I'll sacrifice and make the drive. I am not sure how good my chances are though. I wish they were not as strict with pre-reqs. I took my nutrition and English class almost 10 years ago and got a B in both of them but recently retook them since some schools consider them expired and got an A in both. Some posts from previous semesters say people with points in the 50's have gotten in but others say mostly people with points in the 70's got in so I am keeping my fingers crossed.
I'm from Sacramento but I live by Redding now. If I don't get into any program this application period I will probably retake the TEAS. I was going to apply to an entry level MSN but the tuition is expensive so I want to get an ADN first then do a fast track MSN. Are Modesto or Merced merit based?

Hello all. I applied to SJDC nursing program for fall 2015. Anyone else apply and want to chat about it? They will be updating the application this Friday to let us know whether or not we can submit information.
