SAN JOAQUIN DELTA COLLEGE FALL 2019 ADN

Published

Hey everyone I can't seem to find a forum for the Fall 2019 application for Delta so I thought I'd create one. I applied already. I like the way the new application is set up online. It was clearer to me this time around. I'm curious as to how many points everyone is applying with. ?

They aren’t doing the fast track this time, so no extra spots. Only 40. I was told they are going to ask the top 120 people for documents, then narrow it down from there. I don’t know what the cut off of points was last time.

I wonder at what point they take the few students from lottery. After they choose the highest points of before?

My guess is after but I don't know for sure how they do the 10% lottery.

120 still seems like a lot of people, Good Luck to everyone

Hi everyone! I applied with 88 points, but I really wanted to do Fast Track and I was informed they only do it in Spring, so I may wait and re-apply for Spring.

They will only be doing fast track again if they get the funding for it. They didn't have it for this semester. I asked if they will have it for January 2020 start (Spring semester) and they said they hoped so but couldn't confirm. it's a grant that they have to be approved for.

Oh wow!!! Thank you so much for telling me

The way it was explained to me is they need to "prove" it's working. So, I believe this semester the first fast track class graduated. So, they need to submit the results to get the grant. Basically, show that the fast track nursing students did well and passed the NCLEX. They said they feel confident they will get the funding again but couldn't confirm.

That makes sense! I wonder when they’ll know if they’re going to be able to offer it in Spring? Thank you so much for your insight!

I applied with 81 points. It will be an hour commute for me if I get in. I live in Sacramento.

Can someone post the link to the application to check status? Thanks!
