Hey everyone I can't seem to find a forum for the Fall 2019 application for Delta so I thought I'd create one. I applied already. I like the way the new application is set up online. It was clearer to me this time around. I'm curious as to how many points everyone is applying with. ?

That's what I was wondering too. I'm not purchasing my package though until I hear back from MJC. Hopefully they get back to me before the 5th. I don't want to end up paying for two packages.
I was just going to put my main childhood address, my current address for the last 12 years. But I'm going to email the health office and ask just to be safe.

its a loooooong class. We have to do quizzes before class ( you keep taking them over and over till you reach a certain level, so if you know the material you take fewer quizzes bc you get the answers right, if you don't you could be there for hours, so it forces you to read the material) , so you already kinda know the material, and the professor just solidifies whats important. We aren't supposed to show up not knowing anything about the topics.

Has anyone read the student information packet? It seems like we have a lot to purchase out-of-pocket. Any suggestions on where to purchase a decent, but not too expensive stethoscope? Also, any ideas about where to get the appropriate shoes?
The books are like $900 for the first semester. There is no way around it bc you need the codes to take the PrepU tests every week and access videos, skills sheets, etc. I used a lot of my savings to buy them, uniforms, shirts, etc... then you have to pay for Kaplan but you can make payments of $150 X4.
Shoes: Some of my friends bought "nurse mate" shoes and the white layer is peeling already and they look old. I got the Timberland ones (only like $30 more expensive than the Nurse Mates) and a few of my friends are gonna switch to them because they are so comfortable and still look like new ( and I wipe them with bleach before leaving the floor every clinical day) You will wish you had nice shoes. Seriously.

Thankfully I am a CalWORKS student and they will reimburse me for all expenses for supples! They are a great program, everyone should look to see if they qualify.

If you don’t have your shot records then your doctor will have to order your titers first. Then you’ll go back and get the immunizations you need.
This happened to me last December because I did the CNA program at Delta and it was the same thing. So this time I had my titers already and just did the hepatitis and mmr because oddly I’m immune to measles and mumps but not rubella??
Just FYI the hepatitis is a three shot series. Shot one and two are one month apart and shot three is six months later. Mmr is two shots one month apart. But on the form I think they just need to see they are in progress.

I do have proof of my immunizations except for Hep B. I just assumed that they want titers for Varicella and MMR as well as Hep B regardless of vaccine history.
I also had BCG vaccine in my home country so not sure what I need to do since my TB skin test would show positive even though my blood shows negative... I read in the packet I will have to get a chest X Ray?
