Hi everyone, I'm making this so the people applying to the Spring 2023 San Joaquin Delta program can talk. Does anyone know when the application opens and ends? Also, How many points will you be applying with? I'm attaching the admission points criteria. I'm not sure if this is the latest one that they actually use, does anyone know?
Hi everyone,
This will be my first time applying for an ADN program and so far have earned 80.5 points. I am honestly worried, little negative on myself because I have completed so many pre reqs from different schools due to their unique requirement's. If anyone has any tips or opinions on how to solidify my application I would be grateful. Scored a 94% on my TEAS exam and 3.3 GPA for my science courses.

Wdym, 80.5 points is great! You can make it in the Delta program easily! Are you planning on getting into any other schools?

Basically you have a Summer term (regular program is only Spring/fall) so you finish a few months earlier. I believe the top 20(not sure if its still that amount of spots) are offered a spot and either you accept/decline and they go down the list.

So, you don't get any Summer breaks. You have classes from Spring, Summer, Fall, and Spring. In the Summer, you do 2 classes (Labor&Delivery and Psych Nursing). The Labor & Delivery class has 12 hour clinicals. Only the Summer semester is intense, the rest is all normal.

Well, I haven't found any other schools within a realistic distance from Sacramento that has opened up applications. Though planning on applying at Los rios colleges when that opens as well. Y'all really think 80 is competitive?

Yea I think so, considering applications from last year. When will the application open for Los Rios?

80 Points is great! MJC has a great nursing program, not sure how far you want to drive. This was my first time applying to MJC nursing program in February and I was just notified on Wednesday that a spot opened up for fall! The cutoff points was 81 and I had 80. I accepted the spot and I start in 2weeks!
