San Joaquin Delta College ADN Fall 2016 Applicants

Published

Hey guys!

So I made this thread so that anyone applying to SJDC ADN Program to start Fall 2016 can post any questions they might have.

These are my questions:

How many points are you applying with? I currently have 52.5. I wasn't focused enough on school a couple semesters back, so I didn't do so great on some of my science courses I did, however, score an 89 on the TEAS. I'll be retaking my TEAS (I need as many points as I can possibly make up for), graduating with my AA in May, and going for CNA in the summer. If I don't get in for Fall, I can apply for Spring with 59 points with all of those little extras. What have you heard about the average acceptance points and the cutoff points?

Ask any questions you guys might have!

Hi! There is another thread that was started for sjdc fall 2016 where users are posting if you wanted to check that out. I have 76 points and am super anxious/ excited to apply. I have heard they are really strict and will disqualify you for the most minor mistakes on your app or documents. Of course I will triple check everything to make sure it is right, but the anxiety about it is still there! I have heard the application opens this week and also heard next week. We shall seeí ½í¸„

The application JUST OPENED TODAY!

I applied with 67.5 points, but I've been reading the SJDC SPRING2016 Applicant's posts, and they said the point range went down to at least 66 points! I have noticed though, with all school applicant statistics, that the FALL Semesters have a higher point margin for acceptance than spring. This can be seen in ARC applications, Sierra college, and I'm guessing for SJDC as well.

All we can do is hope the point range stays the same... I did also read that someone in the mid 50's point range got it. I'm not sure whether it was through the alternate list or not, but best of luck to everyone for this application period!

:sarcastic:

Hi guys!! Has anyone applied for the fall 2016 semester yet?? I had applied after getting off work last night but I never received a confirmation email! :(

Best of luck to everyone applying this semester!! :)

For those that are currently enrolled, how many applicants are invited to submit supporting documentation? Of those invited, how many are given a spot vs alternate? I was invited to submit documentation and I was shocked! I didn't get to claim my degree, I have to take a 5-7 point hit for science repeats ( from the 90's) and I couldn't claim the A for my English class that I'm currently enrolled in.

Im pretty sure I'll be a an alternate. I'm okay with that. I'll will be applying at MJC with 80 points in May. Their rules are different: no science deduction, my degree and English grade will be on my transcript when documentation needs to be submitted.

Please share any wisdom on this matter. Thank you!
