San Jacinto Spring 2023-ADN

Updated:   Published

Hello. I applied to San Jacinto for Spring 2023-ADN. I haven't seen a group for it so I thought I'd create one, so we could update each other. I'm not sure when acceptances go out, but I hope there are others here that might know LOL. Feel free to share if you applied or if you have any general information.

Did anyone get into both Central and North Campus for Spring 2023?

Yes I did ??‍♂️ I ultimately accepted North though.

Congratulations! I was hoping you accepted Central but hopefully I’ll joining you at North. I just accepted a spot as alternate at North Campus. Word of advice get on top of doing the fingerprint and stay on top of the nursing board! I started the process early on sept 9th. Nursing board received my fingerprint results but failed to process them for several weeks. I’m still waiting on student blue card.

After acceptance, we do our fingerprints thru identoGO. Is there anything else we need to do for TBON? Also, I'm out of country right now and will be back on November 8th, would I still have time to get everything done on time?

The TBON has to review the findings. After I complete the fingerprint, TBON waited 15 days before reviewing the results. I called them several days after I completed the fingerprint process because it wasn’t appearing on my portal profile. Just get them done as soon as possible once you’re back in the country. Schedule your appointment time now to do the fingerprints with IdentoGo since that’s done online.

I just scheduled an appointment. Is Blue card required for the first orientation?

I don’t think so bc that’s based on how quick the TxBON sends it to you. So you nor the school have control of that.

Hi, I also accepted a spot as an alternate for the North campus and I was just wondering all that I can do just in case I get accepted. The only things I know I need left for my background check are fingerprints and the nursing board. How do I complete those tasks if I haven’t been accepted yet. Sorry for the questions, this is my first year applying.

I contacted the TBON because I had to disclose an arrest. I went through them directly but they stated normally I would have to wait for the program to initiate the process. The nursing program would start the IdentoGo step and submit the candidates to TBON. If you don’t have to disclose anything then I don’t think you can start the Blue Card process early. It cost me $150 to start the TBON then paid $35 for the fingerprint. I thought the process would of done by now but it’s still pending final review. My charge is officially expunged and doing it early was unnecessary because I have a state approved license and completed the FBI/DPS background check before with no issues but the stipulation of the expungement worried me so I decided not to chance it. I wouldn’t recommend starting early unless you got accepted into the program and received the IdentoGo email. It’s taking me several months. I believe the acceptance process is different then what I’m going through and quicker. I recommend keeping a close eye on communication and doing everything thing immediately when they notify you about being accepted.

@Ciara Rodriguez Did North provide you with what spot you’re in the waitlist? I normally thought waitlist candidates usually were notified of what position they’re on the waitlist. I don’t want to annoy Norma since she’s handling everything by herself. I just received a vague confirmation back advising me they received my email accepting my interest of being on the waitlist for the Spring. I’m pending notification from Alvin College but North is a shorter drive from my residence.

I was wondering that too. My email confirmation just said that was acceptance for the waitlist was confirmed but doesn’t say what spot number. Thank you also for the reply earlier. I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing anything just in case.

You shouldn’t have had to pay the $150. And yes you must start the Declatory* order early bc it can take months for them to send you an outcome letter. Which most nursing schools require before clinical. The $150 is if they needed to investigate further in which the txbon would make you aware so you could pay for it. So you may have put your self even further behind in the process. Everything is a waiting game with txbon, trust me I had to do it. Since you have some type of charge expunged or not you will never receive a blue card. You will receive an outcome letter stating you will be allowed to sit for NCLEX. Hope this info helps.
