San Jacinto College ADN - Fall 2020

Published

This is my first time using this site. But I’m in the process of applying to the San Jacinto College ADN program.
my grades are:

English: B

AP1: A

AP2: B

Micro: B

Science GPA: 3.27

HESI: 91.2

I’ve been to one other college besides San Jac, so I don’t know my exact cumulative GPA, but it’s between 2.9-3.1

my current ruberic is a 21 not counting my GPA.

My real concern is if I should apply ASAP, or will I be ok waiting about a week for my CNA license to become current, and also, what are my chances of getting in? Thanks for any responses!

OK @dmurray16 I’m online looking now.

which campus is you’re applying to? I sent mines to North

I am currently applying to the central campus. I did not see any specific person to email for that campus. Maybe you can reach out and email the central campus.

It was $80-90. I can't remember the exact price, I got it like a month ago. But it includes your drug test & background check as well.

@pn93 You have to go to the counselor in the front building to get it and get it filled out if I’m remembering correctly.

I will have to email them?

Do you have to complete castle branch too as a part of their application?

You can find their emails on the SJC website in the nursing tab. And Yes, Castlebranch needs to be done as well. The blue card comes after acceptance and the physical is required after acceptance, from what I was told.

Hey have y’all I applied for fall 2020. I submitted my application like three weeks ago. I’m unsure if I sent it in right. I didn’t have sealed copies of my transcript due to covid 19 the schools aren’t opened. Do y’all know who I can contact?

you can send them electronically for now, just take or send the physical copy when you can!

Hi, so I've taken the HESI for another school, and I'm taking the critical thinking portion for SJC tomorrow. Does anyone have any tips for me? Is it difficult? I know it doesn't count towards determining admission, but I'm sending my scores to HCC Nursing where it does count.

Hey everyone they have extended the application deadline till June 1st. So another month of waiting to see if we are accepted or not ?

So sorry I’m responding late. I hope you did well. This is my first time as well. But I’ve heard 800+ is what they’re looking for.

I just heard that. My nerves are already bad! LOL. But it’s OK. A little less than a month left ??

Specializes in EMT.

I just mailed my application, but I don’t have a transcript evaluation done! I have my associates from San Jac and all my prereqs were done there. Is that a necessity? Also, I mailed my HESI scores directly to the nursing department. Not myself. And put it a printed copy of the results in the application! I’m so nervous I totally screwed up now.

@Nicole_3125 I myself did not do a transcript evaluation. My associates is from HCC and all my pre reqs are done as well. Also I placed my HESI scores in the envelope (the printed copy). I don’t think you screwed up I know that they understand there is a lot going on so I feel as though they will be very understanding.

Hi, I also mailed my application recently and was slightly freaked out about the transcript evaluation. I emailed the nursing department about it and they said I needed it (even though I explained that most of my pre-reqs were completed at San Jac). So then I called San Jac to get an “ADN transcript evaluation” and they told me there’s no need for an evaluation if I’m already a student there. The woman also said there was no such thing as a specific evaluation for the ADN program. So I mailed my application without it.. here’s hoping we’re okay without it!
