San Jacinto College ADN Spring 2019

Published

Anyone else applying to San Jac Spring 2019? Application dates are August 6, 2018 - October 8, 2018.

My rubric is currently 17 but I am in the middle of APII and taking Micro in the fall; that's an additional 2-6 points. HESI is 90.4.

Does anyone know when acceptance/rejection notices will be sent?

30-45 days after the end of application period.

ARE YOU SERIOUS!?!? Lol, I talked to both advisers and both of them told me I had to retake the HESI just to complete the learning/personality styles sections. Ughhhh, wasted money!!!!

Yes, I got a 91.2 and asked if I needed to retake it just for that and she said "absolutely not. Save your money."

Wow that's a perfect score! Lol this makes me nervous

I wouldn't be nervous.... you have a rubric score of 23 and scored above a 90 on the HESI. Apparently, the average score for applicants is a mid to high 80's for the HESI. Your stats seem above average to me. What did you make in A&P I and II?

I made As on both. Hopefully that's enough!

yea, i think you're fine.... HESI score apparently is taken in high regard.... and anything over 90 is supposed to be above average..... A's in both A&P is good.... I think a C in micro will be overlooked since your HESI score is so high.

Hello! I'm currently taking my prerequisites

for San Jac ADN program for next fall and I'm a little confused on the lab and lectures... do you take them all at once or split them up? Please give me allllllll the info :)

You'll take AP I lab and lecture first. Then you can take AP II (lab/lecture) and Micro (lab/lecture) in any order.

The lab and lecture have to be taken together and you have to register for both at same time. You register for the two separate classes, but the grades are combined into one grade. And it's priced as a 4 hour class.

If you are in the course selection system, found a lecture that's good for you, and hover over the info icon it will give you the number to corresponding lab course.

AP fills quick so it's best to register ASAP.

Hey guys. Quick question. Does the san jac nursing program require applicants to have volunteers hours?

No they're not a requirement.

No they're not a requirement.

Thank you!

Do they really need all sections and subsections of the hesi to be above 75%. I scored a 67 in conclusions sub section but scored a 86 in reading comprehension and a 91 overall.

Will this be an issue?

My rubric score is 23
