Anyone else applying to San Jac Spring 2019? Application dates are August 6, 2018 - October 8, 2018.
My rubric is currently 17 but I am in the middle of APII and taking Micro in the fall; that's an additional 2-6 points. HESI is 90.4.
They expect you to buy the scrub uniforms and skills pack at orientation. You will need those for class. The company rep is there taking orders, you pay, and it's delivered a few days before class starts. It was an extra expense that I didn't know to factor in.
Clinical uniform is white scrub top and blue bottoms and class uniform is blue scrub top and bottoms. I bought 2 sets of class and one clinical (~40ish each set) and the skills pack is 150 ish.

I was wondering if anyone knew the difference between north and south campus?
if anyone in the program could you guys tell me if you like it or not?
thanks
South is only LVN. Central and north both have RN. I suggest looking at all the schools in your area. Pay attention to the retention rates. San jac is pretty low. I regret not doing more research before beginning the program.

I regret going to San Jac; I should have done more research as well.

It’s basically a sink or swim atmosphere. I don’t feel like the professors are there to help, more like there so they can get paid. The retention rate speaks for itself, in my opinion. Maybe go to an information session at central to get a better idea.

There is a lot of information at orientation and some segments aren't applicable but it's mandatory so not much you can do. They have time during orientation where you order uniforms, ID badges, skills kit, stethoscopes, jackets, rolling bags, and other miscellaneous items.
You can try your stethoscope out and see how it works for you. You won't need it until 8B.
