Anyone else applying to San Jac Spring 2019? Application dates are August 6, 2018 - October 8, 2018.
My rubric is currently 17 but I am in the middle of APII and taking Micro in the fall; that's an additional 2-6 points. HESI is 90.4.
In the acceptance letter it says "Your name was submitted to the Texas Board of Nursing (BON) in November, 2018." Do I just wait until further notice? I also got the code for castlebranch's background check, what do I do with it? I am sorry for asking so many questions. I have never done this before. And I tried contacting administrative but they are busy.

I know they submit your name to the BON go check if you need to do a declaratory order. I would go ahead and start the process just to make sure it's done. They said the hospitals like to know that all students have the BON completed (if needed) prior to starting clinical due to liability risks. As far as the background check, I can't remember how I did mine.
How do we do a declaratory order/how do we know if we have to do it?
For any criminal offense, including those pending appeal, have you:
A. been arrested and have a pending criminal charge?
B. been convicted of a misdemeanor?
C. been convicted of a felony?
D. pled nolo contendere, no contest, or guilty?
E. received deferred adjudication?
F. been placed on community supervision or court-ordered probation, whether or not adjudicated guilty?
G. been sentenced to serve jail time, prison time, or court-ordered confinement?
H. been granted pre-trial diversion?
I. been cited or charged with any violation of the law?
J. been subject of a court-martial; Article 15 violation; or received any form of military judgment/
punishment/action?
If you answer yes to any of these questions you have to do an declaratory order. The instructions are on the Board of Nursing's website.
Do you mind sharing the code for the castlebranch background check, that is the one thing I didn't get done because I didn't have a code for it. I called castle branch and they couldn't provide me with one. I have emailed both central and North campus asking about it but they have failed to respond. I haven't had the chance to go personally and ask. This has been super frusterating both campuses have been unavailable and never answer their phones or respond to their emails.

But what if i don't need to do a declaratory order because i don't answer yes to any of those questions. What should I do next? Get fingerprints?

I don't remember having a code for that. I wanna say I purchased the NP76 code for castlebranch. And then it did the background check ( I think )

Ms. Navejar emailed me this morning that there was a glitch in CastleBranch system and to try ordering next week. The code is NP76BG. The code I used in Aug/Sep was NP76 and it did NOT do a background check. I don't know how much the new code is and if it's just for the background check or of it will include the document holding.

Yes, wait until further notice on BON. Ms. Navejar said they take care of the BON. If we have any red flags on our record then we to do the declaratory order a previous poster mentioned.
CastleBranch has a glitch right now and we need to try next week to order the background check through CB.
