[color=#008000]hello guys... i'm creating this post to keep track of acceptance into the adn program at san jacinto college.

Specializes in Transition nursing and couplet care.

The bundle has all of the individual books that are listed. I would search online for the books. Much cheaper.

Thanks! I looked on amazon and found that it is 6 books (right?) and about 3 of them are listed separately as required books. Which makes it a little confusing. Also all are cheaper on amazon but I am still doing my homework to find the cheapest!

There is the Foundations book, drug book, nursing diagnosis book, math book, labratory test book and I think that is it for Foundations. The Med-Surg book is not needed for the first semestee.

Oh yeah, the med terms book too.

Thanks soooo much! All the different cost are killing my purse, lol! And I know, it's only just begun!

Any advice on shoes?

The first semester is expensive, but it gets better after that. I ordered my shoes online, but most people just have athletic shoes.

You are awesome! Thanks so much for the info!

I know we'll find out on Aug 3rd but I'm dying to know!!! I always see the nursing studnets running around and they're wearing those blue scrubs. Are those the lab uniforms or clinicals? I wonder how each of them look. Just curious. xD I know some [schools] make you wear all white, some button up shirts, some scrubs.

Looks like I HAVE to purchase the bundle/books at the school store since I have to use financial aid (pell grants) for all my schooling. It's okay I guess. Have to do what I have to do. it's what the money is for anyway!!!

(I really wish the school would give us our aid before those 30 days of classes have to begin. Some of us rely on that money... but at least I'm being financially assisted so... yeh (=

Harris county south east clinic charges 15 dollars max for hep a hep b vaccines.

5 dollars max for tb screening.

What you see us wearing on campus our the scrubs for class only. Our clinical uniforms are awful. We have a white button up top and a different pair of blue pants.

Just so you guys know you can purchase the books at the store across the street for cheaper and they will work with financial aid!!

LOL I was fearing the button ups xD

Sure glad the pants are blue though.

Heard sometimes you can see underwear with white pants. hahaa...
